I agree with actionawesome's comments above. If this Getter (classic Super Robot) doesn't do well in sales, the chances of Getter 2 and Getter 3 getting made will become almost non-existant, let alone a 1970's anime Getter 1. And for that matter, the chances of other even less popular Super Robots. It is cheap enough, and it looks good. You must give to receive. I hated the SRC Crayola Robot, but even so, it was cheap so I got one (don't even know where I put it). It was a "Super Robot". I want Bandai to continue thinking that making Super Robots is profitable. Of course, not so much with the Armored Core or Sentai robots (sorry). But even then, I still purchased one Sentai Megazord. }D I...kinda see what you mean, but at the same time, just because Shin Getter 1 sold well doesn't mean we'll get Shin 2 or Shin 3...seeing the Getter 1 we got here came off as a surprise unless the MazinGetter was supposed to allude to it... we can only hope that the sales of SRC Getter could make them see other getters as profittable and release more than just Black getter...

Pass - already have GX-52, and it already felt wasteful when I got the Sentinel version.

I was contemplating getting rid of the Sentinel Getters. They are cool and all, but too fragile for me. If Bandai puts out a Black Getter, that will most likely seal their fate. If I do decide to keep them (the Sentinels), they will be back in their boxes and in a closet. The only cool thing for me about the Sentinel Getters is their cape. But, I'm sure I can whip one out without much effort. }D

Mhm, I kind of agree with you on this one Vendetta. Some people here say that, by buying this, it is more likely for Bandai to consider making the whole getter trio in the future. That is probably true. And despite the ol' saying "there's no thing as too many getters"... this one is quite similar to the Sentinel one, isn't it? Nevermind the fact that it is, again, "fatty" Getter 1. The scale is almost identical, and the proportions too. Heh, I guess Bandai is trying to win its audience back

I wonder if Sentinel's could be made to fit with minimal effort...

Heh, fatty Getter 1 is already an exagerated, evil/badass version of the authentic Getter 1. Bandai's one is more show accurate, and Sentinel's one is just a bit more exagerated. Thicker limbs, smaller and meaner head, the trunk is a bit bigger as well. But they're both the same character, and both are 6 inches tall, more or less. Unless you're a big getter fan, I'd not get both if I were you. Way too similar to display them together

Good thing I didn't buy the sentinel version yet and I'd much rather prefer an src rendition of Getter 1 to go along with my other src's. I'm certain Bandai will also make the black getter since its gonna use up most of the parts of this getter. I do prefer the sentinel cape but that's actually an easy mod to do.

Hey, lets copy sentinel but without the b*tching cap and articulation. SO lame. I don't think I would say they are copying Sentinel. If they were then there WOULD be a cape. SRC Articulation is pretty awesome and this figure is a LOT cheaper.

True. The Armaggedon Getter 1 is basically the same no matter who makes it (Aoshima, Bandai, Kaiyodo, or Sentinel). }D

I would say the SOC firts, upcoming SRC second, Aoshima third, and Sentinel last. Sentinel is good, but quite fragile when compared to the others. Also, more expensive. IMO, the only advantage Sentinel Getter has over the SOC, and Future SRC, is the cloth cape. The Aoshima Getter is the least articulated of all, but it is the best looking of them - and has the most amount of metal in it. }D

Woah. Ok. The legs do look very good. The arms are fine as well. But what happened to the "belly" area??? I mean, maybe it looks weird because they extended everything out and... something happened with the joints? It's just that... the torso looks very disconnected, lower-central-upper torso sections look almost disconnected from one another. Those gaps are weird. They probably aren't even noticeable if you let it in a neutral static pose. Oh well. The rest looks fine. Don't know if I'll display it with the cape though, I don't like that rigid cape.

not bad, its kinda weird what they did to his waist area but then again is suppose to be as a full one piece. maybe is the black belt area was part of the yellow area in size it would have been better but the question is how much better.
But other than that it looks pretty good.
