The upper torso was practically the same width than the lower part, even in the attachment area, it was very precice and didn't leave any noticeable gaps. It looked better in my opinion. But I suspect that this SRC looks better if you pose it porperly, and don't make it do "yoga"

But I suspect that this SRC looks better if you pose it porperly, and don't make it do "yoga" Sentinel one has a terrible gap in the back between belt and waist i pointed it out in that thread. On the SRC,I was the first to point out the strange flat belly when seeing Black Getter,it indeed looks wonky. I own all the major ones except the SOC,never got the Getter Robo SOC,I lke the Aoshima best out of all of them.Never got the plastic Yujin one as it has those strange windows on the shoulders??Anyone know why?Dont remember that in the anime.. remind me,its in manga?SHE has them too and in pic bottom.Do pilots go in shoulders sometimes?

look at all these strange specimens Baron dug out.
as wonky as SRC one, when i look at the other ugly but charming little known pieces, i might still get SRC Getter 1 when and if it goes on sale months after its release.
Better tobe safe then sorry

Honestly, I don't know where those shoulder windows popped out, really... all of the glass panels of Eagle machine are on its top, right? All 6 of them. And then they shapeshift and become the face of Getter 1, but none go all the way to the shoulders... in theory, at least. It doesn't happen in the classic anime, nor in Armageddon. Could be a thing from the manga, who knows...

The mark in the shoulders are indeed a design that Ken Ishikawa added to the Getter 1 since the firs time, it sometimes shows in the manga as been either a glass like the ones on Getter 1's chest or just been a black/blue paint design for him or just a shadow element. Take it like what GoNagai does to Mazinger Z in his mangas, he changes the design look of him from the more classic version like the OVA to a mix version of the Toie and the OVA.
So yes, you can have getter 1 with the mark in the shoulders or the plain on, however by no means they enter from the shoulder as many are assuming.

Yes but it being cheap is no indication of if it sold well,ALL Aoshima Getters can be found cheap! Mostly all under 100$ except for the black shin Getters tend to get just a bit more.

As much as I'd like to see Getters 2 and 3 (or Liger and Poseidon) get SRC renditions, I know it probably won't happen, seeing as the trend right now is to just release Getter 1/Dragon and then forgetting about it...

sometimes u just cant help but wonder what's the problem with Bandai not releasing the much anticipated shin Getters 2 and 3.. instead doing robots like Kantam robo, Franky or that unexplainable tower of the sun whatever.. when infact in doing so.. it will be a sure investment... a sure seller.. especially getter 3 which hasnt been done yet. SRC line has the best chance having these two released.. thats why im still holding on with my src shin getter 1 instead of getting a much better scaled Aoshimas.

The problem is that a lot of people will always go for a Getter 1 unit than the 2 or 3 because thats the one that stands out pretty much the majority of the time. Since the day Ken Ishikawa made the Getter series it has always been that Getter 1 or any 1rs form of Getter is the main and the prominent one that is use for Manga, TV, Movies OVAs or videogames, the other 2 forms are like use for specific situations that occure to the plot story and then leave them be until it is require to use again. This pretty much made that it will always stand out that whenever people talks or mentions about the Getters the majority will mention Getter 1, Getter Dragon , Shin Getter or Black Getter as the big ones but rarely they mention the other 2 forms like 2 or 3 or liger and poseidon. Is Pretty much all on the popularity of the robot, it has nothing to do if Bandai does not want to make the other 2 units.
Aoshima's selling the Shin Getter 2 made it very clear that a lot of people where not interested on buying any second or third form of the getters but for the first form they would buy it like crazy (you can still get Shin Getter 2 very cheap compare to any 1rs form of Getter). This also is confirms with Bandai's SoC of Liger and Poseidon when they where not selling as optimal in comparison to Getter Dragon as separate sets and because of this they made the special boxest with the 3 robots together and that one outsold the seperate sets.
As for Bandai doing Kantam Robo, Franky and the Tower Sun is because the first 2 has a high request in the demand in Japan for them and specially when the show that those 2 where respectively are quite popular at the moment. As for the tower sun thing, it was done for an anniversary of it just like the Hello Kitty that they made it intoa robot that shoot fist and made of diecast.

I hope the waist looks better in person. I am only buying this cause I'm a hardcore getter fan, but I must admit, the waist section is horrible

Ok out of box its decent,a bit on the light side, and as usual,LEG ISSUES,had to tweak and tweak the upper leg on one side to get it to turn, and it causes some stress on where the seam is,oh well,SRC legs and I never agree, always way too loose,or way too tight, but hey SRCs are not SOCs,to me they are just a bit more than mini versions to toy with. Anyway its a nice figure, kind of small actually than what we have been getting from SRC of late, the hands seem a bit more rubbery than usual too.Hmm,not sure if thats a good or bad thing.I really like the getter beam effect, best thing about this. I had my wife look at and handle the Aoshima,Sentinel and SRC,she said the Sentinel was cool cuz of teh cloth cape but the figure felt as if it was gonna fall apart, hahha just how i feel, she liked the sturdiness of the Aoshima but not the rubber cape, and thought the SRC was just "cute" so there you go in Laymans terms... Anyway its just kind of an average SRC,just another worn out character, but im sure its very welcomed by some, not bad,not great.Legs are diecast which is very nice..space between stomach and groin is a bit glaring, but the flat odd shaped stomach issue isnt too bad in hand,,B- for me,MUCH more anxious for God Sigma.
