I'm glad you made a thread about this figure! Back when GSC first showed the prototype for this figure a few years ago when the anime was airing I was pretty hyped about it and then GSC went silent on this figure for a few years. Now that the figure is up for order my hype had kind of died down because this is about 4,000 yen more than I was expecting. I really liked Chamber as a character in Gargantia so I feel like I'll eventually order this figure down the road, but I want to some reviews before going into a figure in a new toyline. GSC makes quality stuff and sentinel did a great job sculpting the figure, but you can never be too sure about quality these days.

The pricetag for this thing is beyond absurd. We're almost approaching Studio Halfeye levels here.
Sen-ti-nel's products are good, but man are they not worth their pricetag.

It's about $143US which is high for a 19cm figure but in keeping with Sentinels price tags.

According to recent interviews, Chamber's design was supposedly meant to be a "modernized" Layzner (much in the same way Rahxephon was a "modernized" Raideen). You can definitely see the similarities between the two, especially the round shape and large size of the heads. What's even better is that there's a 1/48 Bandai Layzner kit which is the same scale and size as this figure. Having these two side-by-side would be magnificent. I'm still going to wait for discounts once it's actually released, but the dollar-to-yen ratio makes this a much more reasonable purchase than before.

Ordered one last week and I should be getting it next week. This guy sold out at most stores so I figured I'd take the plunge on it before it goes up in price. Japanese reviews are out and I believe they are positive.

I got my copy today.
Impressions:
-The paint job is very nice out of the box, but be careful not to chip the paint because he is 100% painted. - The thin plastic parts on his shoulder and face are very thin so be mindful of where you're moving stuff around. - The sliding armor on the leg is a nice touch. - The joint of the bottom of the stand sucks. The joint unhinges itself easily and sometimes cannot support the weight of the figure. - The instructions should have mentioned which parts can be articulated. I didn't know the hips and shoulders could be pulled outwards for great range of motion. - Best looking figure of chamber so far. - This feels more like a display model rather than action figure.

The backdrop in the box makes for a nice background for photos.
