So, I assume it's gonna be one of those PVC figures...which I hope will be a better quality than we used to get from HL PRO. I do not want to make final judgments before I see the final product, but, from what I see of this prototype: stretchy body (again) and damn BIG nose! Astroganger (Jongar in Arabic) is one of my favorite heroes...but if the design is really like this, I am not buying it.     |

Astroganger never really did much for me. But even if it did this looks odd and off. He looks like a Peeping Tom jeering into your window at night. El Paso Texas!

Horrible,the charm of old school robots whether its my thing or not,which it isnt,is that they have a certain body type.A wonky type body,modernizing one of those and stretching out the head and torso doesnt help one bit.The Toei Mazinger hasnt been represented perfectly in this hobby either,but we have grown to accept Bandais offerings.With a more obvious not so popular robot like this it REALLY sticks out when its off.Its vinyl anyways so who cares. LOL.  |

Ive also come to realize HLPro must use the first pic on google that pops up as references,its funny as this is the first one below that popped,they seem to model their stuff after NON Anime screen shots,or these new art mock ups..just look..stretched head etc,I noticed the same with Gattaiger,the model was formed after these types of things and NOt the anime itself why is that? BAD RESEARCH!! that is why they get the colors wrong too,example Z-Mazinger.  |

In Egypt and the Middle East, Astroganger (Jongar) is a so beloved iconic character! He can be represented good with his vintage or modernized look! It just requires some person with some artistic taste to design him in a hero form. Please, no counting on the anime itself cuz the animators seemed to be loving drawing him as a chunky dude! He is not a barrel, he can be drawn "in-shape" JUST DO IT, ASSHOLES.   As far, his mini-statue which I ordered from Italy is still the best to me. I still hope also to see him as a Revoltech. This HL PRO trash should be changed and JAMMY must stop stretching the robots in that silly European style like their comics. It's Japanese here!  |

HLPro threads are the only ones that have issues,its very odd! The issues are for many diverse reasons too! Its not the same arguements,nor even teh same people.Im guilty of it myself,not swearing ofcourse,but for some reason hLPro threads bring the worst out in everyone..consider the source I guess?HLPro that is..

Looks like a cool, classic robot to me worthy of being made in HL Pro's Jumbo scale. I'd buy it in addition to several other obvious, vintage choices that HLP hasn't manufactured.

Comparing the next 2 photos with the one I am posting just right above, I am  disgusted! The sh*tty stretchy style again. HL PRO CEO with his arrogant attitude does not even encourage me to pass over the cheapness of his figures even if they are of characters I totally adore!   I am happy with my Aizenbo and Astroganger mini-statues.  |

I truly dislike the sculpt of both the Duke statue and Ganger figure! Can you see how he asks the sculptor to elongate the bodies? Illness.  |
