Oh yeah! Learning was the goal, and the by-product is looking good! No negatives this time... Parts primed! And its own Stand too! }D

Woooooooow!!! Now THAT is definitely coming along so Siiiiiiiiiick! The parts look damn good, I like how you smoothed them out. I see a pair of ball joints for the torso/thigh connections, curious to see how that design will work..... I'm thinking of replacing all of the joints in my Mechanic Collection robot models with Revoltech joints ( The MC's joints break off too easy when they're stiff from not posing the models for a while). That stand has a nice cold stone texture to it, it certainly suits your Grengus figure. What was your concept in mind for the stand, to make it so that it fits the character ("personality") of the enemy robot? Or will you use that stand design for some of the other enemy robots as well? ( That is IF you decide to make any more of Mazinger's enemy robots) Awesome job, you're the best! zozo-mag

Thanks bro! I had to do lots of sanding, too much if you ask me. It's not perfect by any means, but I think it will turn out very nice once painted. As far as the stand, I figured a "cracked ground" theme would go perfectly with the "Wrecking Ball" mechanical monster that Grengus C3 is. }D

As far as other Mazinger enemies, I really want to do the Seven Mycene Generals from Great Mazinger, and definitely a God Mazinger too. And there is also "Mazinger X" and "Devil Mazinger", which appeared only in mangas, that I want to make as well. I'm currently debating on which one of the list to start working on first. }D

And remember, in some situations, you Can add a layer of thickness to the surface of the object with Tamiya putty, to smooth it out.*** ***this will work with a Singular object. If the object comes in Pairs ( arms, lower legs, hands, feet, etc), that's a different story. Because you'd have to match the density of the surface for the Right side part to the same surface density of the Left side part, Manually sculpting and puttying to the proper ratio. That was the old way of doing it, which was of course Very tedious work. As mold/casting techniques developed further, there were some quicker easier ways of doing it. For the biceps, forearms, and lower legs -- as long as they're not leaning Left or Right -- --what you can do is make a mock prototype of let's say the lower leg... if it's a centered neutral cylinder shape ( not leaning Left or Right)... and just perfect the prototype by sanding it to the desired smoothness and detail, then mold/cast two copies of it for use as Left and Right lower legs. However, thanks to 3D Printing technology, the machine will handle that task for you much quicker, AND it will produce the Left and Right parts according to your design specs. zozo-mag

Thanks bro! If I had the $3400 available, I would've bought a real laser/resin 3D printer, and all those characters would be getting done already. Unfortunately, it takes double or triple the work on to make such figures in the printer I have, and/or way too much money to print the parts at Shapeways. So, slow is the word... }D

Its free Robots for everyone, cost of resin and labor ofcourse..

That would be awesome, but there are quite a few members here that run loops around me with their 3D modeling skills - Ninjahandz and Xiombarg are great, just to name a few. . It would rock to have an RJ community resin printer, that we all got to use, and chipped in to support. Would be like, bye-bye Shapeways! Unfortunately, it is a pretty pricey venture in hardware and materials alone. I may get in debt and get one when the prices drop a little. Hopefully the resin will drop a LOT... it averages $100 a liter these days!!! But who knows, I may win the lottery and fund everything in onecquick swoop!!! }D

Gentlemen, you got me confused with the two master 3D modelers here: ninjahandz & xiombarg! Compared to their 3D modeling skills, I'm just a blind monkey banging on a keyboard... }D

And a keyboard banging monkey might end up with the great American novel.
