That brings back fond high school memories, late '70s/early '80s...
...there was a hobby store in the Bronx
(on Grand Concourse, near Fordham Road) then known as Hobby Tree.
After school I used to walk by there and gaze into the
storefront window to view all those little diecast Shogun Warriors
that were on display; some of them were the robots; and then the
vehicles such as the Goranger Varidorin Jet; the Gaiking three animals;
and the race car Machine Hayabusa.
And I also remember seeing a Godaikin Gardian as part of the display.
Coincidentally, throughout my childhood, wherever I went and spotted
a toy store or hobby store displaying those little gokins I always
saw the Godaikin Gardian displayed along with them.
And then later on in the summer of '81 during my first time visit to
Puerto Rico, I passed by a toy store... yep, the Godaikin Gardian
was on display in the window... as in "punch car"!
Welcome to RJ, and thanks for sharing!
