I should have known that buying from these guys was NOT going to work out for me. i made an account and was trying to buy a chogokin z color mazinkaiser SRC but for some reason, my order was listed as "cancelled by admin" and I couldn't complete and order for that item at all, i even sent three emails to them and they all went unanswered. so i just made another account and placed another order.
i placed an order for three SRC products and after their lengthy place order/ check for stock/ pay for shipping/ ship items process i finally got a ship confirmation and waited for my package.
today, i finally get my package but instead of my items, they sent me some big stupid fantasy elf figurine. i sent another email just now which will more than likely not get a response either.
im more than likely going to have to file a claim on my CC to get my money back, as I have no faith i anime-export at this point.
dealing with anime-export has been nothing but frustrations and disappointment from the onset. has anyone had trouble with these guys?

thats super weird bro im dealing with them since 2010 and it was nothing but great business
you should read their FAQ because if you didnt pay for an item within 48 hours it will be canceled, and if it was a special item its more like a race the first who pay get the item because they have only one
you should contact them ASAP you will see their email address in the Paypal invoice because some times the contact us page dont work correctly i dont know you and not just them most of the online stores

thanks s_gokin, i took your advice and i sent ANOTHER email with the address that it lists on the paypal receipt.
yes i understand the issue of canceling the orders, i just dont understand the bad customer service of them not allowing me to place another order after it was cancelled. by them, and if they have multiple email addresses, why not just correct the website using the one that they use so customers wont be left in the dark.
i paid a few hundred dollars for that order and I'm feeling very frustrated right now. thanks again for your help.

It’s just their system that don’t allow you do order the same item after the 48 hours I don’t why
And to be honest with you lately they don’t replay as fast as they used to but don’t be worry they are legit just give them some time because the time difference, and they will replay much faster if you use the email you register with

I never had a problem with them, and Erika is pretty good in replying back. But since this past Summer, I am avoiding them like the plague.
Why you ask? Well last time I logged in to place an order, I noticed that the site is not secured. Just look at the url bar when you log in, it will be http instead of https.
Also if you click on the Comodo link, you will get an error message.
When I contacted Erika this past Summer, she mentioned that she will have the webmaster remove that link because they dropped Comodo 2 years ago. But ignored my concerns on the non secure site after log in.
We are at the end of November, and the Comodo link is still at their page. Therefore, I am not risking myself on unsecured sites like theirs.

NEVER had a problem with AE,they are one of the best.Got to be a fluke thing,Erika answers all of my emails,all I can say is send about 10 of the same email,youll get a response, thats what I do if I feel like a seller is ignoring me.Nothing like 10 emails in a row from the same person to get their attention.

Hmmm you know man I never noticed that but i still shop with them and nothing happens (yet) but im sure they have some kind of security The only security is when you are directed to PayPal. And after the TFSource security breach, which occurred twice within a year, I am not taking any chances with AE. When I noticed the same security issue with Nippon-Yasan, I immediately contacted them and they added security within 2 weeks.

so to update:
anime export NEVER responded to any of my many emails. I was forced to send a dispute to PayPal and within an hour all of my money had been refunded.
horrible shame what bad customer service that place has. I will never purchase from them again and I will do my best to spread the word about this negative experience.

Anime-Export's customer service used to suck years ago. However, they've turned it around 180 degrees. It is one of my favorite places to shop these days, and their customer service has been top-notch every time I've had an issue with any of their orders. All stores may have problems from time to time. Amiami screwed me when they sent me a defective CM's Grendizer and then told me they could not help me get a non-defective one (Spacer doors). Big in Japan tried to steal from me over $200 I pre-paid from an order. out of the blue they closed my account and blocked my emails. Paypal did not want to help me because the pre-payment had been done over 45 days prior. Only my credit card was able to get me my money back. HLJ has problems too. More than once they have turned around and cancelled my orders because they "could not find" the item I purchased from them. Also HLJ offers Expedited shipping, at a higher cost, but will not give those orders processing priority. So you pay a lot for EMS and Fedex shipping, and still get your order almost at the same speed as if it was Registered Mail. Angolz, they like to sell opened items as new. And the list goes on, and on, and on... So, yes, it is a gamble when you shop overseas. But that's the nature of the beast. }D

will i asked them to ship my items last Thursday and so far no progress the state of my items is still "our staff is packing your items as we speak. when ready we will send you the total in your mail. You will recieve an mail when ready" technically there is a holiday in Japan at the moment but i asked them to ship it before it even start

Enjoy that part of it too. i agree with you man to be honest with you i wasnt a Patience guy at all but this hobby made me kinda Patience guy lol (kinda not totally) but this is a different waiting, the thing is today it will be a week since i ask them to ship my items i paid for shipping cost last night and until now they didn't ship it yet im not used of this kind of service specially with AE im dealing with them since 2010 and they were awesome, if their business has grown then they need to grow too, hire more people and dont be greedy because if you cant keep up with you customers you will lose them i just hope they ship it tomorrow so i can get it by the next week end

seeing stuff like this.. reading those frustrations makes me very grateful im living in a place in Asia with an adequate number of physical shops plus online retailers that is just based locally. i have problems too with sellers overseas but thats just very old stuffs that i need to backtrack and not recent releases or preorders like u guys have problems with. i hope its just a minor bump and u guys get your items soon.
