As much as I love the classic Godzilla (it's the only one I had as a kid)I have had two in the last few years but currently don't have any. I am really going to have to give this new one some thought. $250 is a good chunk of one from my top 3 and my jumbo funds are limited.

Yeah Wes, I saw that too plus $19 shipping. . Are people really that dumb? It's like the people asking $300 for a third release Mazinger.

Ha Bourno. I don't know about the Godzilla going up. None of the relatively new Jumbos save for the carbon copy ones from U5 have gone up at any significant value. As a matter of fact, most US made ones have gone down if you consider the Toyami Voltron ones from years ago Jumbos. My strategy is to wait for it to go down in value, then maybe I may get one depending on the review.
For that price, I would probably rather buy a bootleg which are some of the worst jumbos made but have a certain charm to them for around the same price than the Godzilla. Just my preference I guess.

I think the jakks pacific ones are very safe since the price are already low... And the storm troopers are not bad

Jakks is going crazy with these making different sizes of different characters. I would like to soon see someone take a pic of all of them together in one photo and post on this board.
With these going for $30. Don't know how any potential future jumbo maker can compete if they release jumbos for 10 times that price.

I agree that the price point is insane for this new Godzilla jumbo when companies are making jumbos of Marvel and Star Wars available for consumer friendly prices at mass retailers. That high of a price point doesn't make it more exclusive, it just makes me shake my head at Toynami....I was looking forward to this thinking it would be around $100. Disappointed!

Oh, I saw on Ebay a pre-order Godzilla sold for $ 399 - 326 euros, what a crazy price!
AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT WITH + $ 134 of shipping and customs = $ 528 If I need one in France !!!! What a joke!

Hey hey now! Those big new cheep Star Wars figs don't have wheels on the feet, firing fisticuffs, atomic breath lever, snazzy box, and no Stormtrooper has a big green tail. Gotta pay for that tail, LOL

True Jon but I would rather spend my money on a vintage licensed or bootleg than paying hundreds for a toy that just came out. These new jumbos will never hold a candle to the vintage ones. The people (Popy) who designed those were just masters of their craft. You can't find nearly close the quality in a bootleg or anything new. I will take a kamen v3 (you can get for that price )over any of these new jumbos the price they are asking.

The price is shocking to me too. I would be down for spending half as much. Agreed about JP spoiling us. But spending the SRP on this would have me regretting I didn't put that amount toward the expensive Lego sets.

Can't wait for this to arrive. Very grateful I was able to get the BBTS early bird preorder price of $199.
