My vintage Bandai Plastic Model Great Mazinger

This is a plastic model released by Bandai, it is a old school day plastic model similar to those day plastic model Gundam Rx78.



Any members has seen this plastic model before?

There is one part in this plastic model Great Mazinger is totally not proportionate to the picture...guess which part of the robot....

I have the larger version with the big block feet.
As for this version, I don't have it yet- but it's on my list.

The artwork on the boxes of these old kits is some of the best ever!

The goofy chunky proportions were certainly made to keep them standing, and allow for motorized features in some versions, especially the larger battery compartments in the feet Magengar mentioned.

1998 ( I think? ) was a cool year with a whole bunch of re-issued old 70s kits coming out from Bandai, like the one gatchaman has above.
Thanks for the photo of the built robot. I have been guilty of keeping too many old kits in the box, never seeing the final project done.
