Have a feeling Yamato's 1/3000 Macross will still look better and more impressive, as the size allows better detail on some very small parts (especially the bridge and its antennae). But I can see Hasegawa tried to 1up Yamato's sculpt in some areas, like the feet thrusters with more panel lines.

Good point. At a personal level, kits dont really interest me much unless it comes pre-painted (e.g. 1/60 titanium paint sinanju). Never been good at painting haha. Howver, if one have the know-how and skills, i can forsee them doing up a more kick-ass 1/4000 than the 1/3000.

would really be interested with this one if it could transform. BTW can it transform of just the cruiser mode? Any idea how long will this be?
