These look nice. I'm honestly surprised that Polimar is the first release. I expected someone else to be a better guinea pig. I don't think he will sell well, but hope for the sake of the line that he does.
Kind of an upgrade from the Microman Tatsunoko fight series from years ago (Ken, Polimar, Tekkaman, Casshern, Volter). Ken was the Those figures aren't cheap now (except Ken) and honestly these new figures are a little pricey as well (approx. 7" tall).
I hope they do an original tekkaman with staff weapons and I honestly wish the Casshern outfit deco was all white with black details (the upper thighs look silver to me?).
I would really like to see them do a run of all the gatchaman team members because they haven't been done in a while, but I don't know how likely that is.
Anyone order these yet?

Hurricane Polymar is not a robot, but after seeing pictures and reviews of it I am really interested in buying one. It is not sold out at the usual retailers, and to be honest I am waiting for it to go on sale. Casshern is a cyborg, and I am really looking forward for it. By the way, Sen-Ti-Nel released two Winter Wonder Festival Polymars in metallic red and black. The black one is sick!

I thought these are pretty neat! The size is a bit awkward, because hero figures are usually sized at 15cm/6", or 20cm/8" like the SIC or Playarts figures. Inclusion of diecast parts gives the figure a classy feel, although I'm afraid that these added weight will affect the stability of the joints later on. These figures are a bit on the pricey side, and like other Sentinel figures doesn't run out at pre-order (yet). I'm a very opportunistic collector, so like CFF I plan to snag one when there's a significant markdown for Polymar. However I'll make an exception for the Gatchaman figures and get them at pre-order,just because we haven't seen a modern representation of them in like forever. I'm hopin that there will be enough success in the line for Sentinel to make Jun, Ryu and Jinpei too.

Congrats Ancer!
Please give your thoughts on the figure when it arrives. I need the opinion of a fellow board member before I take a plunge in this line. A picture of him doing the Iron Man ground pound would be superb!

I 'm really looking forward to this line and hope things go well.. I really want a good solid figure for Cashern and the gatchaman line. Doesn't hurt either that these figures will have some diecast in them

Pre Ordered Casshern as well, he looks awesome. The light up feature looks very good. Be nice if they made his robotic dog, Friender.

Honestly the only thing I am having trouble getting past are the hip/crotch balls. They are just so...big. And they don't always stay close to the body when posing, there's a lot of gap. All the other joints look great, I don't know why they couldn't mold or conceal these better.

At least Sen-Ti-Nel is making modern toys of these Tatsunoko characters. You can still hide it by strategically posing them at certain angles, as shown on the pictures above.

But look at the Microman Tatsunoko Fight series which has a lot of the same character figures and was definitely "modern". In my opinion, this sentinel line is an upgraded form of those, which were very posable to begin with. Now they don't have lights and diecast like these do, but they still managed to have ball hips that don't stand out so much. I mean the joints I mentioned in my post above aren't a deal breaker but I wish they would present better in more poses. I am hoping overall this line goes well though, because like you said, where else are we going to get Tatsunoko figures right now?

Yes, but the Micromen are what, 3 inches? These figures are 7 inches, and they have metal.
I am not defending Sen-Ti-Nel because the butt on the front is kind of a turn off, but to be fair they might need that to resolve stability issues due to the added metal.
Anyway, I could not wait and ordered Hurricane Polymar. Once I get it, I will see how it feels.
