Just received my Tatsunoko Fight Ken from HLJ, got access to a digital camera and finally got round to getting some web hosting, so thought I'd take the opportunity at a mini-review. Ken's my first Microman, bought because he wasn't too expensive and I'm always curious to try out different toy lines, especially when they've got a character from a childhood anime show. Based on him though, I think I'll be getting the rest of the Tatsunoko Fight series and watching the microman range much closer from now on. Previous experience with the 3 3/4" scale figures came from the disappointingly static Star wars figure line, or the more dynamic, but still not perfectly posable G. I. Joes. Ken immediately impressed with the sheer number of joints adorning his body. He's incredibly posable and the joints are nice and stiff so he keeps his poses well. I don't know if this level of articulation is typical of Micromen, but if it is I'm sold. Accessories in the pack are excellent too. He comes with a cape, sword (I don't remember that from the anime?), bracelet, open birdrang and a closed one that fits in a hip holster. To support all these is an impressive selection of hands, that so far I've left unopened for fear I'll lose them. Still with the default hands I can give him sword or birdrang and let him take a threatening pose. Overall, he's got pose-ability, a nicely detailed paint job and cool accessories. Despite his diminutive size I think he looks pretty good:

Impressive! I don't remember the sword either. I probably was in just a few episodes...... How much did yours cost, and do you recommend a certian source on these toys? -E

I got mine from HLJ, but that may not be best for you, especially if you're in the US. Cost was 980 Yen, which worked out at about 5 pounds (about $8 US). So not too bad for price. Personally I'd recommend adding it in with another bigger order, it's a very small packet and won't really affect the cost or size of shipping. Of course I did that and then HLJ decided to send it on its own anyway. I'll probably add the rest of the Tatsunoko gang to my next HLJ order, Ken seems lonely without them.

Well I did add the rest, so here's the full Tatsunoko Fight team: From left to right there's Volter, Casshan, Ken, Tekkaman and kneeling in front Hurricane Polymer. Only knew the character ken from this line, but he needed friends. All come with tons of different hands and a range of accessories and all have an impressive degree of articulation. Most fun I've had with 3 3/4" in a while.

Couldn't resist playing some more and testing out further posability... So first of all Hurricane Polymer warms up with a high kick. Now he tries it out on Volter, but quick reflexes let him block. Shouldn't try to pull the same attack twice; this time volter goes on the offensive with a sweep. And just because I liked the pose so much, from the other side. Ok, so I'm a big kid. ;D Lot's of fun and impressive that they can balance on one foot so well.

;D Those are some impressive manuvers. Now I just love the Tekkaman figure. It would look great next to a Takemi Pegas
