Okay, opening a different thread for my 3D printed part experiments. There are better options get missing parts for incomplete toys. I think of this project as "placeholder" enough for me to display "junk" vintage pieces in relative acceptable completeness. With a handful of incomplete pieces in my storage box, its now time to gradually put them in the display cabinet. First up...... Popy GA-79 Danguard Ace DX: Full write-up here.

Very nice! I would love to see this progress to other parts. I have tons of stuff missing fists, etc. I had a friend make me a new head crest for the Chokinzoku. All I had was the hand weapon, an empty head, and photos. It took a lot of adjustments, but we finally ended up with something decent. I will post pics later. But if we can get high quality prints, then this would be awesome.

Sure, nothing fancy though: As much as possible I try to not to stray too much from the default Makerbot slicer settings : When I print test (grey) prints I normally use Standard. For mazinger-Z's chestpiece I had to pump up the infill by 30%.
