I have been debating whether or not to get this. The set you are specifying also came out on DVD. From what I understand it is the best story of Casshan, just a little long. I would welcome more opinions on it as well. The majority of my collection is DVD. Although I can play blu Ray in HD, I feel most of these programs are better off in DVD format on a good flat screen CRT television regardless of whether they are standard or remastered. What I bought first instead was the DVD of the Casshan Robot Hunter OVA. Casshan: Robot Hunter Casshern www.amazon.com/dp/B008HHTEUU/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_YcYdvb03ZD51GMy packaging is the same as the Amazon picture but my logo is stylized in English lettering. This is the same OVA that was aired years ago on the Sci-Fi channel. The nice thing about this version is that it has all four OVA episodes and the original streamline english dub (what was broadcast on sci-fi channel) and the original Japanese audio with optional english subtitles. It flows well and is true to the original story with a classic feel. Doesn't feel as updated/modernized as the 90's Gatchaman OVA (which I also like). I particularly like the design of black king in this OVA. Overall this DVD has more of a vintage feel to it. To note, there is a very very brief moment or two of partial animated nudity (non-sexual) but nothing to worry about (nowhere near graphic). I won't mention the circumstances because it's just part of the regular storyline and don't want to spoil any events if people haven't seen it. I got mine on Amazon but I will tell you that if you buy this DVD new in person you shouldn't need to pay more than $15 US plus tax. It's supposed to have MSRP of 19.99 but I've never seen it higher than $15 regular price. You get the case with standard outer artwork and the disc on the inside, no other brochure or contents. Still well worth picking up. Run time is 2 hours.

Also we should note that both these sets are very different from the more recent "Casshern: Sins" which is darker and grittier and very different from the original story. So really can't compare that one here.
