Gatchaman II (1978)
Gatchaman F (1979- 1980)
there is blu ray for orginal on amazon and many sites and ovas here the images for blu ray    did anyone buy gatchaman's blu ray? which season is best for you? |

i only get to watch season 2 & 3 when i was a kid and absolutely love season 2 along with the god phoenix and the 5 vehicles.

I grew up loving this show in its Americanized somewhat ba$t*rdized for as "Battle of the Planets". I have always wanted to watch the original in its proper entirety, but have thus far only managed to see a few random uncut episodes.
The original Pheonix stands as one of the all time great SciFi vehicles. It's design was so clean and well thought out. And astonishingly functional for an animated creation. I have long suspected that the designers were fans of Gerry Anderson's shows, particularly Thunderbirds as the ship seemed to reflect a similar "it must make real world sense" design approach as that used by Derrick Meddings for the Anderson puppet shows.

Gatchaman has finally gotten more attention in recent years with some Funko POP in 2021, and new action figures in 2022 by Storm Collectibles. Too bad Funko did not release the full team. I'm hoping STORM comes through.

I bought the DVD for season 1 which worked well. No Blue ray for me....just haven't had the opportunity but I'd like to see season 3
