I got a feeling that sword and chest piece is diecast.. don't hold me to that though.. just looks like it doesn't it?

yeah the chest should be metal.. lets wait and see.. But the torso should be metal as well and maybe shoulders !! not the chest plate!! so now they ask for higher prices but they give us less metal content?? why?

honestly after three zero Mazinger Z im not as demanding with the metal content as i used to be if the figure is well engineered and its looks good then its a winner in my eyes and in my humble opinion i guess this one is also a co-up work between fewture and HL Pro now i have pre oreder on four figures from a company i dont know any thing about lets hope they turn up good

no, again Fewture is the customer... they saw the designs and liked them, then they placed orders for them so they can sell them in Japan. Only figure that I know of that was a group effort was the Zpro Jeeg. That was half Hlpro and half Zona Hobby.

id like metal feet, entirely metal feet! and no styro packaging on mine please.
not only will the figure feel awesome on your palm and sounds great on the hard surface, but it will help stabilize the figure tremendously. help me understand why companies are so shy from doing this? the cost? the infamouse diecast feet clap syndrome?

its expensive to produce, the molds, the paint everything.. then, if you use it unwisely in the design the figure beats itself to death or becomes super floppy because the joints cant handle the stress of the weight for long periods of time. Each design has to be custom tailored for the diecast that it is going to have to carry. If HL goes with a plastic chest on the Zmaz, there is going to be some kind of reason for it. They LIKE diecast so its going to be an engineering reason most likely.. but just because it seems to be plastic in this photo, does not mean that the final version is plastic as far as I know.. have to wait for more info on this subject.

thanks for the answer but like how much more expensive you think?
little more added cost should not be an issue for a already pretty expensive collectable toy. i really don't understand that aspect of reason. what are we talking about? $10 more per figure for adding diecast feet instead of plastic? im willing to pay that 10 for a nice diecast feet on my over $100 figure. it would cost atleast 30 for after market 3rd party if i were lucky enough to get that.
as far as metal feet clap syndrome, i can also live with that too. it comes with the terratory, just like paint chippings. just have to be careful with gokins. if im that concerned with added cost or paint chippings then id be best collecting plastic figures.
but having said all that, id never ever trade bit of metal for awful engineering. thats not what im saying at all. i guess it is all in moderation. i used to love 80 to 90 percent diecast aoshima brick but not much now. i much rather get well engineered 30 percent diecast SRC. still not to say i don't want a src with diecast feet.
just want bit more on the feet, its not like mazinger does highkick all that often.

I doubt cost has anything to do with the Zmaz figure... if they are going to go with plastic it would have to be another reason why.. but lets see if they actually go with a plastic chest .. I haven't asked anything about this so I don't know, Im not playing mind games or anything.. could be that they are just showing a temporary chest to speed development, could be that they are just investigating the possibility . could be a lot of things..

looks like part of chest has been photoshopped out... hummmm I wonder what is going on there??
looks like they went with two Pilders instead of one with hinged wings.. I guess the hinges would have been too fragile ..
thinking back to past conversations with them... it was said that each figure would be unique and depending on what "universe" the figure comes from could alter style and engineering. Its possible that they are going to go with the plastic chest that is shown here and in trade they gave us metal accessories and more stuff in the way of the scrander and the base.. anything is possible. Its just going to depend on how they feel about the figure as they develop it...
