OK toy schollars. I NEED your assistance---
What do you know about the "Robo Punch??" robot from Diaclone/ Takara that looks like a mini-Great Robot Base?
How rare is it and how much is it worth?
I believe it is about 8" tall and comes with a micronaut figure. It transforms too.

Interesting! I hope Shaxper or Mattz know about this one. The only Mini version of GRB I've seen is the 'recent' Gasaphon PVC ( roughly 3" tall-non transforming statue/figure).

See this isn't actually the Great Robot Base. It is the precursor that is small and transforms. It looks like GRB's abdomen.

Hey Ed,
Good question.
GRB was, indeed, based upon Robo Punch. I've always theorized that GRB was originally intended to be a larger scale version of RP with smaller scale Micromen that became so cool and different from previous Microman toys that it got it's own toy series (thus being the only released Diaclone for nearly a year).
As for scarcity and prices, I'm ashamed to claim ignorance on that one. Not being a Microman collector, I've never checked the auctions. Have you tried asking over at Microforever?

There was a MIB Punch Robo on eBay about 3 months ago, I believe it went for $120.
That was the only one I've seen, but I'm not always on the lookout for Microman items.
