The distinct lack of ratchet joints on the 1/9 KA Hulkbuster is a little disturbing especially for a figure that weights almost 3,000 grams. The odd scale also kind of turns me off. The 1/12 Comicave one seems to be pushing my buttons in the right direction especially if it's more affordable.

Well if anything, thank you for making me feel better.
But I thought these companies use 3d data from the movie affiliates to get an accurate proportions? How could they be off if they did use it and if they didnt, how can they not use it?
I heard SHF one looks off also....
Im also hedging my bet on Comicave. BBTS just emailed me Igors in!! Cant wait to get that Big Bad Blue Boy in my hand lol.

I got my comicave igor today frm bbts and had time to play with it a bit.... Unfortunately, His left arm falls off way too easy.
Im going to return it. Ill elaborate more on the problem tomorrow.

Oh. That doesn't sound too promising for their Hulkbuster.

Here he is. Pros He is indeed very heavy and very big. He poses very well and balances. The weight distrution is brilliant....mostly. Artculation is also excellent for sucha hulking figure. Paint app is as good as second tier company can be. The packaging is excellent with nice sturdy slideout box with pleasent graphics. The figure itself was nestle inside a plastic tray which i always prefer over lung cogging styrofoams. Cons His left arm falls off consistantly after your normal posing...not good. Upon closer inspection the simple ball joint has this thick tacky gooey film on it. Its not excatly glue. this simple and shallow ball joint is too shallow to support igors heavy arm....not enough to keep it secured during normal "play." And when i say play i mean posing for inspection and display and such....when i rotate the arm at the shoulder, the left arm will fall off 100 percent of the time. Also when i first took out the figure the whole figure felt as tho it wasnt completely dry? Had this weird light tack about him. Lastly, i dont like the fact that you have to take the whole head off to turn on his eyes. Overall an excellent figure, marred by one critical joint failure. Im going to return for a full refund instead of replacement. If it was a weight bearing foot that came off easily i wouldnt bat an eye. But entire arm is critical because its free hanging....nothing to support and prevent it from falling off due to a weak ball joint.. the Gravity will work it off sooner or later.

Hey GGG, it's strange that only the left arm is affected. Doesn't both shoulders have the same joint mechanism?
Meanwhile, more video of the 1/9 Hulkbuster

It is. The right was tighter tho.
But i have to say, both arms had this weird give. Id move it then it should stay put right? Nope...it starts slowly move back a little like a slug. as if the joint peg was giving, you know how the softer plastic would give right before it finally breaks off .it was very concerning to say the least. Im just glad its out of my hair. Comicave is off my list.
Thank you for the review post!! Fun video. That thing looks amazing! The only couple of things are his heels dont move and his leg articulation seems too limited. Hulkbuster was insanely mobile suit in the movie....
