I've had an order from a Japanese eBay seller stuck in ISC customs for over a week now.
I've called usps twice and they said its nothing I can do about it. they won't even give me a number to call them back.
do I have any options or am I just stuck getting the shaft until they decide to find my package?

You are at their mercy. They can give you the runaround as much as they want.

I think its 30 days or close to that before the Sender can open a Package Trace. I had SAL Registered box take 45 days. It was bouncing around everywhere until it finally arrived.

jeez.
is there any type of shipping that avoids customs? it never seems to get stuck when I get from n-y or hlj.
only eBay. oh, and I ordered from toyercity, and my mad toys voltron got stuck for about 3 days

Have the international packages delivered to your work address.
In the past, I used to have the same issue were for international packages delivered to my home address were on hold by customs for 3-15 business days.
One day I decided to have them them delivered to my work address, and packages get out of customs within 24 hours max.
