This looks cool. I liked to smaller model with the separate ships, but the combiner is awesome and love its bigger size.

Looks like this should be out any day now. These guys seem to like it. A combining Combattler that can actually pose its legs!

I got this yeserday. It's kind of hard to rate because it's not BAD, but it does not feel like it is worth the almost $200 price at all. The plastic seems kind of lightweight and fragile in parts, the diecast is OK but kind of weird being totally unpainted when the rest of the parts are covered in paint. As for the paint itself, it's that sort of thick nail polish metallic sheen that I really don't like. I would have preferred parts just molded in color. But the application is clean at least.
Major problems on mine: one thigh rotation joint is totally frozen. I tried to take it apart to fix but I couldn't because the screw holding the halves together is totally stripped. Also one of the elbow joints doesn't ratchet, which I also can't fix because I cannot figure out how to take the arm apart.
Good things: It's pretty fun overall. The sculpt and design is solid. The joints are plentiful and useful (the ones that work at least). The individual ships are fun even though they do require some parts forming between combined mode and ship mode.
Anyway, there doesn't seem to be any interest here in this toy so I'll end it at that. I let my supplier know about the problems but I haven't decided whether to exchange for a new one or get a refund. I'll probably go for refund if I can and just hedge my bets on the upcoming Action Toys SD Combattler, which is a fraction of the price and should be of high quality like most of their toys.

I had some interest in this due to the character, but was on the fence. Thanks for the review of it. I think I'll wait for the plastic SD version from Action Toys too, since I just wanted a desk toy, and the price is much more reasonable.

It does have a lot of great accessories and there are some neat ideas going on and clever use of magnets. I feel like ultimitely the paint job is what kills it for me. The paint make it looks more like a big PVC toy to my eyes than a high end gokin.
