Aka pre-tf swoop.

I managed to pick up one of these, but it doesn't look quite right and I am tyring to figure out if it was repaired from incorrect pieces or what the deal is.

1) The chest and head are blue, as they are supposed to be.

2) THe feet are gold

3) The lower jaw is red (like the TF version and it doesn't match the other red)

4) On top of this, it came with accessories, but these look like TF versions (almost). The sword is red, the missiles are red plastic, but are actually silver chromed which is apparently NO version (TF was plain red, diaclone were gold chrome).

Any information would be appreciated. Where I could by a diaclone beak (Gold) and the sword would also be appreciated.

HI GMS - I checked on mine last night - and yours is the same as my one, gold, blue, etc. but as confirmed in the pics, the lower beak shouldn't be red!

Funny thing is, I hadn't even noticed the bright red head back before! How did I miss that one?

As for buying the right parts - good luck!!

That said, have you ever thought of having the TF one chromed? It's not quite the same, but at least it'll look better than the red beak!

My brother had some Micronaut plastic parts chromed very satisfactorily....

I'll try and find out who did it if you like.

I'm beginning to wonder if this thing may be some kind of variant or a really good KO, as it does not appear that the jaw has been replaced (its pinned in). I'm especially confused by the silver missiles (becuase they should be either gold or red, those are the only two versions I know of and can locate).

Does your have the same accessories?

I have the box, and everywhere I have looked elsewhere shows the gold jaw.

Sorry it took awhile for me to get back...

I don't have the sword, so can't comment , but my missiles are silver chromed....

Mine's loose (but definitely all Takara-marked), so I can't vouch for my missiles being right or wrong....

I can say that my other Diaclone dino (the Triceratops - can't remember his TF name - Slag/Snarl/Snagglepuss or something....anyway - all his weapons (which ARE definitely original) are silver-chromed, including his sword.

I can't see the plastic underneath, and I ain't scratchin' it off!!
