Is there any chance that Arcade will reissue the 1/3000 Yamato SDF-1? I remember talk years ago of the possibility of Yamato releasing a TV version of the SDF-1.
I feel bad on sleeping on the Yamato SDF-1 when I could've gotten one for $399. If it is reissued again, I won't make the same mistake again.

I'm waiting for this too. And if they do, I want the TV version since I didnt see DYRL til I was an adult. For me, it is the true SDF-1.

It would be a big hit if there is 1:3000 SDF TV Ver. But since Yamato is out of business and looks like most of the rights are acquired by Arcadia now, we'll have to wait longer. I see Arcadia releases fewer items every year compared to Yamato back in the days.

If Arcadia ever release a TV version SDF-1, it would not be a re-issue but a completely new mold. It is just too different from the movie SDF-1, the fans would scream injustice.

Yeah. Re-issue (even though the chance is not that high) more likely so than a TV ver. release for sure. It wasn't simply just a repaint with new arms.

Thanks for the information quinjester! Visually very different indeed. Guess the vintage takatoku sdf-1 best represent the tv version.

Too bad it would probably cost double that of the original release, and considering how bland it was out of the box (it really needs custom work), that would be a very hard pill to swallow. At least with a TV version release, all the colour would help break it up, and add interest. Would totally be all over a TV version release, but I guess the Japanese market really doesn't care too much for it?

I would probably sell a kidney to afford it. LOL!

A question you guys. You fellas seem to deal with amiami a fair amount. Is there anyway to calculate the shipping before you go through the checkout? I almost bought a model kit from them of the "TV version" SDF-1, got to the checkout and the site basically put my order on hold until they calculated my shipping cost to Canada. They sent me an email a day later with the total and the cost of shipping was way more then I was expecting which led me to cancel the order. I actually went ahead and bought from HLJ. Their cost of the kit was more but shipping was less and actually ended up being about 2500 yen cheaper.
Also noticed this too at HLJ....http://hlj.com/product/MEG82029/Sci

Depends which part of Canada your shipping to? I do have an account at AmiAmi thou havent bought from them. Price wise I find them very competitive. I always shop through HLJ & Nippon Yassan, but Im limiting my online expenses now as Canadian $ exchange is crazy at the moment.

Also noticed this too at HLJ....http://hlj.com/product/MEG82029/Sci you can get a good estimate with some of these links. you also need to know the weight and measurements of the item you want to order , then add and bit for the shipping box and packaging materials. The cheap way is Register SAL small Packet. (weight limit at 2000gram , size limit at 90 cm total (Width + height + length) If your item in shipping box exceeds the 90cm size limit (w + H + L+) and / or the weight limited (2000grams) then you will need to use a more expensive shipping like EMS or SAL Parcel This link give you all the restrictions www.amiami.com/top/page/t/faq2.html#1This link give you a general shipping rate by weight www.amiami.com/top/page/t/faq2.html#2This is from Anime-export , which will give you a exact shipping cost base on weight www.anime-export.com/shipping_calculator.php?weight=2000you can find the measurements and weight of most items on hlj, hobbysearch, anime-export. anime-export will even have the Packed Weight. HLJ have special shipping discounts due to the high volume of stuff they ship out, and they share some of those discount to their customers.
