Okay I found the forum with the video. Buzz, if you go to "toy vault gallery" from our forum home page, then down near the bottom on forum page one is the forum "My boxed vintage collection" from crpd. Click on that and watch his video. He just about owns every variant of Lionbot, Golion, and Voltron III. He is the guy to really ask questions on these if you need more info.

HI guys, sorry I haven't been on for a bit. My situation hasn't gotten any better, just the opposite but I was able to check out the web today. I have a couple jaguar bots, one I believe has a vbelt but I will have to check. The most interesting lionbot I own is a Chinese version with Chinese writing and it looks very old possibly one of the first. It had a lionbot sticker that I peeled off of the front of the box and that's when I found that it had original Chinese writing. Very cool I must say. The Matchbox version made in Taiwan are pretty much identical to the jaguar bots the Taiwan Goilion and some of the lionbots. The best bootlegs were the diamond belt. The V belts are not very well built. My favorite lionbots are the diamond belts that have the carded weapons. It is so hard to find a set of these in mint condition but I did come across a couple that I purchased. I have a pretty cool French Lionbot that had these carded weapons. I also have a lionbot that has a green Golion cello with the upside down star and golion instructions. Recently a guy has been selling lionbots on ebay and some with the golion box that are literally junk. he claims the stuff is new but vintage from the 80s. They have the light grey joints like on the trendmaster with black or grey or a mix of tails. I think this guy is taking old junk lionbots and repainting them and re-stickering them because the left and right parts of the lions didn't fit together well and the tails were different colors and wouldn't move freely and the paint looks as if it had been painted over something that had rust removed like there was air trapped. I tried to get a refund from the guy but he refused said his stuff was exactly what he said and then a week later I saw the same ad on ebay using the same pictures so I am pretty sure he is doing something weird. If you are looking for a lionbot I have some loose ones and boxed sets I will sell and a couple mini lionbots for sale as well.
