Great job on that review; both the article and pics. A legend like this deserves that kind of attention to detail (and such a new/ mint example of the toy shown too!). Is this part of your personal collection?

Thanks Ward. Indeed this example is from my collection. I feel fortunate that things worked out.
Did you realize it was made in 81? I thought it was later than that but the copywright said otherwise.

Awsome toy! I still believe the face and head sculptures from the 80's where some of the best. Fortress Robot X's face looks like Brad Pitt compared to say the Alternators Sideswipe .

Great review admin1! He looks tougher than Great Robot Base! Does he have more gimmicks than Robot base? On Gimmicks I say they are about the same. GRB has a cooler transformation and larger metal lithos and better hand accessories. X has more diecast. I say it is a wash with each having unique merrits. You could argue that Great Robot Base has a better overall look in large robot mode (symmetry/balance/ proportions).
