Well, I got my package from Japan yesterday which contained the Prime/Kicker anniversary set and Automaster Ryan from the new Masterforce series. Both are stellar toys!
AUTOMASTER RYAN
Ryan will be available in the US in May, but I didn't want to wait that long for him :-D Everything about this guy is damn near perfect. Colors look great, bike is awesome as hell, and of course his articulation is off the chart. He uses the same body and hands as the micro figures of last year. His head almost looks like a helmet. It's hard to see in the pics because it's chromed, but in perseon it looks fantastic. On top of his armor and hands he comes with...
A STAND!!!!!!!! I've been looking for some sort of stand for these guys for the last few months but haven't been able to find anything that works. I'm glad they decided to include them with the new figures. The use of the stand greatly increases the options of different poses. You'll see in some following pictures. I probably shouldn't have gotten him, as now I'm really itching for the rest of the Masters and Acros.
You can't do this without a stand!
The bike comes apart to form his armor. Now this is kinda wierd. It gives him a robotic look, but the torso part doesn't seem to fit together right. It stays, just doesn't seal all the way, and I didnt want to force it and break it :-D
Overall, an A+ toy.
KICKER
This version of Kicker was only available in the Anniversary set with Optimus Prime. The differences between this one and the individual release are a chromed head/chestplate and the inclusion of the Energon megatron sword. Standard micro body, new head, modified feet(at the ankle), and only 1 set of hands. Doesn't really bother me though as I have several sets of white hands from other figures to use if need be. CHestplate has a red Autobot symbol on it. Both swords are nice, but the Energon Saber is too large, and Megatron's sword is a tad too small IMO. He has to hold the saber with 2 hands in most cases cause it is too heavy for just one hand.
I'll have pics of the Prime and possibly some more micro pics tomorrow. Also in this package my friend included a few "little" bonus pack-ins...2 of Transformers from the "World's smallest TFs" series 2. prime and Thrust I believe. I'll have poisc of them later as well.
