According to the instruction sheet (in japanese which i dont understand haha), but judging by the pictures, i think it does. Yet to fiddle much with it, but will definitly find the time to remove the batteries.

Congrats! I have a pick-up notice and am assuming it's NY's shipment of Veronica...
Quick question, mecha-mecha: Any diecast?

Yes, lots of diecast on this one. The heft on this guy shocked me. I don't know the exact weight of this guy but it felt like 1.2 to 1.5 lbs. The diecast that I could tell from the touch were located on the back bottom of the feet, the side yellow piece of the ribcage and the upper shoulder/neck area. the internal hip joints are diecast as are the shoulder joints. Ratcheted shoulders and hips on this guy, probably because of the heft. I am very glad I picked this guy up. Now I'm very curious about the Re-Edit Sentinel version... and waiting patiently for the King Arts release that's due later on this year.

Finally opened the box and wow, this is a sizeable and HEAVY toy. I can see why we had to pay and arm and a leg for it... I'll have to figure out how to remove the batteries. Let's see if Youtube has any video reviews/how-tos...

FYI, folks: Veronica does come pre-installed with batteries...so, you'll have to figure out how to remove the panels and take out the batteries.

Quick question per the plastic tabs: I thought not removing them was better than keeping them in...? And should you not remove the batteries completely...?

Quick question per the plastic tabs: I thought not removing them was better than keeping them in...? And should you not remove the batteries completely...? I dont think it will make a difference. The batteries will still corrode and melt once past its shelf life. If you do not intend to play with the lighting features over time, think the best is still to remove the batteries.
