Sentinel shipped the Hayato-Benkei-Musashi bundle a few days ago. I thought mine was coming by EMS, but I had the displeasure of learning that it was actually handled by FedEx. Now it's stuck at the customs, apparently missing brokerage information. Should be fun...  |

Wasn't so bad after all : I got it today. My camera's battery is dead, so here's a crappy cellphone shot :  Also, I can confirm what everybody was dying to know : Hayato's mullet is articulated. |

Can you comment on the quality of the figures? Like the Getter Team pilots, but missed out on the Hayato set preorder and its going to be pretty pricey to get them. Curious if its worth the big bucks to get these, as I have no experience with any of the 4-inch-nel figures.

For figures this size, they're quite fine. The sculpt, especially the face, is quite sharp. Since it's Sentinel, the articulation is great, but you'll probably want to use that stand because they're not that stable.
Musashi and Benkei are better than nothing, I guess. They look nice, but they really do have the exact same body with only a different paintjob and only one point of "articulation" (head rotation). At that price, they could have at least included an extra head.
I paid 117.30 USD ($85.00 + shipping) for the set and I do think it was too expensive for what it is. But if you want a Getter team to display with your Getters, it's not like you have much choice. What else is there? Some resin garage kits? Those Aoshima gashapon that came with their Shin Seiki Gokins? With my luck, Bandai will announce a super robot pilot gashapon line later this year.

Thats the thing about Sentinel. Their stuff always seem overpriced (sometimes by a lot like in this case), yet they offer you something unique in the market with high quality that you can't help but pay the price. I'll have to think through this one. |
