All text is in english and all dialogue is in Japanese, no settings to change anything.

Finally got my game delivered and played the first couple intro missions that was super short. Barely touch the meat of the game, but I have to say this is a really nice upgrade in terms of battle cinematics. Looks so nice & smooth on a big TV with a smooth refresh rate. Very dynamic. Gameplay system very similar to the older OG series. On the English translation, I love the dialogue, especially in-between missions during all the stories. They even added in extra effort to make the first episode very anime, with human characters cut in while they talk, almost like watching anime (even though that portion was short). But in terms of the English on menus, SPs, and abilities, it really threw me off (for someone very used to the Japanese text). Have very hard time figure out which ability is which, and have to read all the detail descriptions one by one every time to know what is what. Some of the menu commands position and text size are not very intuitive (took a few seconds just to visually locate my 'evade' command in every fight). However, I expect to get used to this after playing it a while.
But for all English speaking gamers playing it for the first time, you are in for a treat. SRW has never looked this good (YouTube video don't do it justice).

I'm actually having trouble digesting the English text, though I think it's actually chiefly because they don't put periods at the ends of sentences (they still do use exclamation points and question marks). Dialogue just isn't flowing as it should be because of it, I think.
The writing itself also seems pretty forgettable (even excusing the mediocre translation), and I'm not quite used to there being so much stuff to read between missions (my Japanese is poor, so I usually just skip through the dialogue). I may end up skipping the dialogue here too just to keep things moving!

SRW was never really a literary masterpiece and trying to mash together all these different IPs (for a lack of a better term, since many of the OG characters are their own self-contained series even if they were created for SRW games) is gonna be disjointed (even worse for the mainline games). And the story is absolutely secondary to an SRW game, LOL.
English is my second language, but I'm not finding too much difficulty understanding the translation. Maybe I'm just used to trying to parse broken English?

I too don't have much issue in the English writing itself. It flows well enough, and the contents are typical dialogues you expected in these shows and games, with a lot of terminology and exposition. It is lengthy and all. The only issue I have is the grammar and typo that pops up occasionally (but very often for an official product), as well as some of the menus/commands in English. In Japanese kanji, I know exactly what the SP does, but when in English, I have to look up its description most of the time. But I am having fun so far, just finished Episode 10.
