The one with the red backpack looks a lot like Gyakuten-Oh, from Ippatsuman (Time Bokan). CollectionDX's review of CM's take on it, with pics : www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/2007/gyakutenohCan't help you with the figure line, though. No idea what they are.

They are eraser puzzle figures. I have the daioja sealed on an English card, it's a Taiwan KO. They come on a small cardback with bubble, all not much bigger than the figure.
They made about 9 different figures, in the KO line.
Keshi like this were common back in the day. I have yet to see Japanese made ones, but since I have a Taiwan KO, the originals are probably Japanese.
Do yours have any manufacturer marks, dates, or kanji on them anywhere? Otherwise, you probably have the KO like I do, especially since they were bought in the US.

They are legit. I don't typically collect these keshi, but I do own this Takatoku store display of the Goshogun keshi, which includes the toy you have, jkolton. (BTW, its got two rows of cases.)

Krimpov, you're exactly right. Thats definitely Gyakuten-Oh. Thanks! Mr-Ginrai, here are some better photos of the text on the backs of each figure. There are no dates, but you can see GoShogun and Gyakuten-Oh are marked Japan. Daioja and Cobalter (which I am realizing are from the same series) are both marked with kanji and the letters AG. I think those divots are also meant to be copyright symbols. Do you have any photos of your figure on it's card? I wonder if that would jog any memories. KingBoyD, HOLY COW. I can't tell you how strange it is to see that figure in context like that after all these years. I don't think thats how mine were packaged. At least not that I can remember, but thats incredible. What are the other figures in the bucket with GoShogun? Is there any indication of what other figures were available in this line? I found another collector online that has the same 5th figure of Braiger that I have, that I've yet to retrieve. He mentioned that he suspects he got it at a military exchange store, which I find interesting because my father was in the navy, and we would often visit the Navy Exchange at the base here in Groton. I'm wondering if it's possible that that is where I picked these up. Thank you all for your help. It's exciting to be finally solving this mystery after all these years of wondering!

I can take a photo of mine on its card sometime in the next day or two. The entire card is in engrish/English and typical of average period knock-offs. I will try to see the back of the figure, but mine is still sealed. If the bubble falls off I may be tempted though.
One thing I will say is right now I think yours may be genuine due to the kanji, the quality look of the rubber and the more uniform colors. My daioja is made up of at least two colors, possibly more. The KO ones always seemed to have odd/mixed color combos. It will be interesting to see if mine has the kanji as well.
We will have to see what mine looks like before we can make a more accurate prediction.

Each container includes the main robot in combined form, the robot in pieces in a variety of colors so multi-colored versions can be created, vehicles, etc.

Hey guys, I'm sorry to resurrect an old thread like this, but I came across this thread when researching these robots from my childhood. I have had 3 of these for as long as I can remember (the ones in the back) and finally managed to find more! See the pictures below for what I currently have. These are based on all kinds of cool animé figures such as the Daioja combiner (I have 2 out of 3 combiner "limbs" and the combined form itself), Takatoku Brave Gokin GoShogun, Galactic Gale Baxinger, Daikyozin and Bryger. Anyway, Mr. Ginrai, I have been trying to remember what the packaging for these looks like... and I would be over the moon if I could see it again! Have you ever posted a picture of it, and if not, is it possible to do so? One of my oldest memories is looking at the packaging, I seem to remember it had artwork of these guys sitting at a table with a globe on it??? So here are the pics of the ones I managed to find, I wonder how many more there are!

Hans, I never posted a picture. I only have the Taiwan bootleg versions. The real Japanese ones like kingboy has typically came in tubes or on cards or bags. As for the bootleg ones I have I have only ever seen them carded. I will see if I can upload a picture.
Edit: My brother posted a picture of mine, the front and back of the card, on his Instagram. Check out his profile there, therobotassassin and you’ll see it.

So they were not exactly sitting at a table, but I can see why I seem to remember it that way, lol. It certainly brought back some sweet childhood memories! Thanks again
