Here you go folks! Got my first picture on here thanks to help from RMC. This is the Japanese Invader J figure from the Henshin Cyborg line. I wish I owned him but I pinched the pic from ebay and couldn't afford the toy. More to come, but none of it is mine unfortunately. Soon I will have a digital camera and you will all be able to see my collection.

Very nice to see this original stuff. With the head, I can't quite make out, is that an insectoid head with bug eyes on the side, or is there a humanoid face there, in some kind of helmet?
Thanks, Ward

It's an insect head. Her he is with his pals. box back and a crazy poster. I can't remember how much he went for; it's quite a long time ago, but I think it was more than $200. I think the eyes on his chest change colour with a kind of slatted system. There is a hole in the back of the box if you look closely, which must allow you to operate something. Enjoy, Cybo-aficianados! Hippy

I own them. ;D
Only found them all on Yahoo Japan.
The reissued limited version of the blue king walder jr looks better than the original blue king walder.
He has a blue head
Considering the original walder will cost you over $800 with a head.
The head is clear like the one on the purple walder.
He come with a shonen cyborg as a set.
I think I paid about $100 with shipping a year ago.
I hardly see them on ebay
The aliens are great!
They are more rubbery than the cyborgs and have a cool chest gimmick!
Loose they can run you $400 to $600 for the set of three.
Good luck!

I’m jealous! I’ve looked at Yahoo Japan, but I haven’t the foggiest how to bid. How do you go about it? You say the Invaders are rubbery – is that their hands and feet? The arms, legs and pelvis look like they come from the same moulds as Shonen Cyborg. What is the chest gimmick?
I’m aware of the silver SC/blue KWJr double pack. You did well to pick it up for $100. I managed to get the blue KWJr in the Skeleton King costume. His head is clear. I have pictures of vintage purple King Walder with a purple head. Unfortunately, I only have them on paper so I can’t post them here. It’s less clear, but in another pic there appears to be a vintage blue Walder with a blue head. There must have been ones with clear heads and ones with coloured heads.
Got any other enviable HC stuff, Rednecktex? Hippy

You push the button on his back and makes the eyes look like they light up. They are definitely different than the shonen! There accessory sets can cost more than the figures themselves! The aliens and the three android sets are my favorites. I have the green blue and yellow jr walder figs from 2000. I also have the original walder purple {most common} and the green one. You can go nuts on the costumes! I have the lion maryu and kamen rider x. I suggest if you are budget strapped getting the 99 series. These have magnetic arms and two magnetic ports in the back. You can pose them much easier than the 70's version and the overproduced 98 version. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&category=2471&item=5901762196&rd=1This seller also has some of the costumes for these. $30 is a good price. I guess someone did a buy it now on the blue chest and head.

Hello Rednecktex, I actually have a few of the recent Takara Cyborgs, along with my collection of vintage British Cyborg toys. I was lucky enough to get the blue and gold reissue Shonens and the green and yellow KWJrs when they came out, plus the Skeleton King Jr that I already mentioned. I have a couple of Neo HCs, gold and smoked, both KW2s and the double pack with the 99 and the blue KW2. What I lack and most covet is the vintage Japanese stuff, like the Invaders and Androids. My only vintage Japanese item is a silver HC, which I bought not realising they were about to reissue him. If they would only change the engine colour on the subsequent costume releases, I would buy them.
If I started collecting the costumes, I probably would go nuts! I would have to get even more figures to display them with, though I suppose I could get away with using other 12” figures. I have the three costumes that were released in Britain, and enough spare tatty British figures to display them. I like the costumes where you can still see the transparent figure, which are basically the three Walder Monsters, indeed the Plant Man is rather poor, so make that the two. I have heard an unconfirmed rumour that 12” King Walder is next for reissue. I’d be delighted if they did Skeleton and Satan King costumes for him, indeed I would buy each colour figure and then buy them again to display the costumes.
Apparently the vintage Takara Androids didn’t do so well in Japan, which is why they are easier to find and cheaper when you do find them. It also means they will probably not reissue them. I would love to own them, and probably will get at least one someday. British Android is a great figure and in my opinion as good as the others. 'bye for now, Hippy

Congrats on finding the British versions! I haven't craved them much with the reissued KW jr's and Shonen cyborgs not costing much. The androids with the chrome parts can cost you around $200 boxed on Yahoo Japan I agree with you that they should re release the different chest colors! I am not buying more rereleased costumes unless they kick butt! The blue chest android and Jaguar are the most expensive on YJ. page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/68416879?I have the gold and it cost me about $200 loose after shipping and fees. I have to go through Celga to because many Japanese don't like to deal with us Yanks! Don't want to share there toys! good luck!

I am in Britain, so it was no big feat to collect the British figures. I had them as a kid; Muton (British King Walder) and Android were my best ever toys, along with Baron Karza. I always assumed that Cyborg originated in the States; it was not until the coming of the internet that I learned of his Japanese origins, along with all the Henshin and Microman stuff I had never dreamed existed. What an exciting time that was. British Cyborgs were cheap before the internet; it’s Japanese collectors who have pushed the prices up. I notice that a lot of those weird bootleg figures on Yahoo Japan have references and/or stolen artwork from the British series, as does the Henshin Collection box (“Earth reeled under the hideous Mutonic onslaught…”). Interest in these figures here in Britain is minimal, just a few of us, Spymagician and Cybermuton included.
Thanks for the link. He is a Cyborg, not an Android (see my Android thread for pics). I have been looking at Yahoo Japan and wishing I could buy it all. What is Celga? My wife has a friend in Tokyo and I know a Japanese lady here in my home town. Perhaps I can get them to help…..
It was nice for me that Takara didn’t do a purple KWJr, as it means my Muton is more unique. His head is much smaller than those of the KWJrs. When I get a digital camera, I’ll post some comparison pics.
