Hi everyone! So I recently lucked out and found a couple Lions and a Mini-Voltron at Goodwill, and wanted to get some more info on them, mainly because I'd like to match them up with other Lions and parts so I can complete the set. Voltron Lions and Mini-VoltronAs you can see in the above pictures, I have the blue and yellow Lions and a Bandai Mini-Voltron. The Lions are both metal with chrome plastic legs, and the other Voltron is missing the red Lion arm, his wings and the green Lion head. I know they're rather rough but I'm more interested in trying to complete them rather than any sort of resale value or anything. So I guess the first question is, since there are multiple versions of the metal body Lions, which version of the Lions do you think they are? Also, with the Mini-Voltron, are the arms by themselves hard to come by? I'm kind of surprised its missing, but then again, it's Goodwill, lol. Second, going on the above info, a friend made me aware of someone selling a metal Black Lion that I'm interested in getting, but I wanted to make sure of two things; First, that the Lions I have already will combine with it. Second, considering it's broken, would I be able to repair it and still be able to combine them with the ones I have and the remaining Red/Green Lions? Possibly buyable Black LionAny help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

For the blue and yellow lions, they are either godaikin Japan release or Taiwan lionbot KO. This is because they still have the missile launcher. On the bottom of each lions belly, please tell us if there is a silver sticker or not and what it says. Then we can give you an exact ID. Also the yellow lion tail is broken.

There is no silver sticker on the underside of either lion. The mini-Voltron is the only one with the silver stickers.

The mini Voltron, you would have to find another junker to get the parts you need. They can be brought over, the wings will be the only hard part because you don't want to break the tabs. However, it is not likely that you will find one with the parts you need.
This is a matchbox Taiwan version (American release) because it doesn't have any missile firing functions left intact on the toy. They were removed for the US. There are tons of these available.

The yellow and blue are most likely Taiwan lionbot then.
The black lion you showed is also a Taiwan lionbot KO version but it is a later version because of the grey inserts in the wings.
You can't repair the damage on this one. You'd need another correct matching black lion to get the parts from.
How much did you pay for each of the three goodwill items and how much is the asking price for this black lion?

The 3 Goodwill items were about $2-$3 a piece. The Black Lion in question is going for about $25 plus shipping. The reason I asked if it could be repaired is due to at least on the body of it it looked like the remainder of the piece broken would be on the exterior arm part that has the arm socket. So it would be a careful lining up and gluing, but would depend on the part that is broken off. With trying to find a Black Lion that would go with the Lions I already have, I wasn't sure which one to look for, aside from trying to find one with the metal sockets on the sides and the chrome legs. This one was the first that wasn't around $60+ for the Black Lion alone, hence why I came here to try to work out which one I would need to try to track down, hopefully at a decent price. While I did find others with the jointed wings, the joints on those are usually white and I believe that goes to the battery operated Black Lion (not sure what the proper term for it is) and I was pretty sure that version would not work with the ones I have. Plus, that version is all plastic as far as I can tell. Also, with the Mini, would I just look up Bandai or Toei mini-voltron to try to find another one or just search Mini-Voltron and look that way?

You did fine on the goodwill items.
Don't buy the black lion. You'll find another. The part that broke, it broke off the arm piece, not the main body. It's easier to find another Than to start throwing money at this one.
The lion you are talking about is different. Those wings are not even the same. Popy, godaikin and matchbox DX black lions all had white wing inserts in the same wings as the broken black lion you are looking at.
For the mini Voltron, just search matchbox Voltron and manually look at the small ones.
