Meh!
All of sudden? It looks like leftover stock from first preoder.
They may have already had cancellations. I’m sure some people just preordered because all the hyp. Then decided they really didn’t want it.

To those out there that have this, just a friendly reminder to polish that chrome! Those lion legs cloud up real quick. Gotta watch em.

In all honestly I don't regret blowing $450 last year in that bbts restock if only because I don't have to deal with this preorder bs and stores canceling due to low stock

Remember - the first run will always represent the “return of golion”.... so to speak... I’m glad to have the first run!

In all honestly I don't regret blowing $450 last year in that bbts restock if only because I don't have to deal with this preorder bs and stores canceling due to low stock I tend to stop thinking about how much I paid for a toy (or I try to, at least) after I put it on display. The reissue came at the right time. I'd sold my first SOC Voltron not long after it came out and had been itching to replace it. At $300 each, I didn't mind preordering two, even if I had to use two different stores. I would have been more hesitant to do so at $450 each. It was stupidly stressful staking out stores that day, but it seems to be a necessity these days to get the good stuff--Metal Builds, SOCs, DX Chogokins, etc. I think it’s also nice that the first run will always be distinguished by the red Bandai logo. Remember - the first run will always represent the “return of golion”.... so to speak... I’m glad to have the first run! Whatever's in my collection is displayed on the shelf. As long as the toy's the same, I'm all good. All I care about as far as boxes is that they're in good shape. Now that toy companies don't use box art as much anymore, boxes aren't that important to me. I have noticed some really nice art on some of the HMR boxes, though.

Guys quick question. Do you think i should get this or the dx combattler v?
Price is about the same and the size and sound gimmicks pull me towards that.

Combattler v is not my thing as is still available .... on the other hand you have Golion which as you know it’s pretty hard to get.... so what you like or get both!

I would get both if you can afford them. I've seen the dx go for as low as 380 on eBay and Amazon jp. But either way, both are excellent pieces. The gx-71 and the toynami display base work pretty well together if you have that and want something electronic with Voltron.

I'd go with dx combattler (if I liked it). It's a more expensive figure and I don't think it will get a reissue once it became sold out. On the other hand voltron will probably get a few more reissues and sooner.

There's a $300 DX Combattler currently? Nope! Prices are much higher tahn that. For both! I just had some spare cash (which in Greece is a miracle trust me!) And i wanted one of both.

If you can get the gx-71 at close to msrp , then that is the one to go for first . The dx combattler v has been out for awhile now and the price is pretty stable so it should not change much if you get that later . But the gx-71 will be harder to get later.
