I am glad that Anime Island works for you. However, lowering the value of the item is breaking the law and if CBSA caught it, it could cause problems. I believe it is highly unlikely that CBSA would catch it, but I prefer to be on the safe side. Most of the time I don't get dinged by customs anyway. Maybe 10% of all my shipments from Japan. Either way it is great that we are all able to enjoy this hobby and get these things regardless of where we bought them from.
In fact, custom declaration is the seller responsability, not the buyer. And there is no trouble to be had, the only trouble you can get is if the item il lost or something, there is no insurance. I collect since 2000, so I know a lot about customs. Believe me, they really don't care how you toy is worth. Customs tips First 20$ is Tax Free First 60$ is Tax Free if it's a gift You pay for the rest, up to 15% depending the province For exemple, if I remember correctly, in USA a gift can be worth up to 200$.

I partially disagree with the first point. When you have a store list your item as a gift, they are in fact breaking Canadian import laws as any item listed as a gift must be from a relative or family member and not from a store. As I said originally, I doubt CBSA really cares and is far too busy to bother with our stuff but it is always safer to be honest and upfront with them and thus have an accurate account of the item being imported. The less eyebrows raised the better. You could very well be right about a gift being $200 in the USA but that does not extend to Canada as the maximum is $60 Tax free and taxes applied to the rest as you stated yourself.
I too have been collecting for a very long time and I am well aware of my responsibilities as an importer. Either way the only thing that is important here is that we all get to enjoy our hobby and all have the opportunity to collect what we are interested in. I am not trying to start a flame war here, so this will be my last comment on this subject. From here on out lets just talk about Voltron.

Thanks for the answers, guys. I guess I missed the chance to use the coupon code if it worked before. I have never heard of eknightmedia.com. Anybody here used them before? Are they legit/reliable?

Anime-Island coupon code worked on my Golion order, but that was on their first PO day. I have a feeling that after tons of POs came in, they took out the coupon code recently. Thats too bad for those that missed the chance.

The prototype from official promotion announcements ,SDCC , dengeki video and the Akiba Showroom is different from each other. It changes every time. Iˊm confused.

the gab between the shoulder and the chest piece is getting bigger
the silver paint looks even worse under good lights
its just not there yet, promo vs promo KOB win in my book

Looks like another weird angle/perspective shot to me... bigger version of the pic: And another... no neck is almost certainly due to the low angle. Lion ears are mis-transformed, maybe neck is too.:

It's a problem with boxy robots. You view it from a low enough vantage point and they all start looking like they have no necks. If you make the necks longer, they start looking goofy when viewed straight on.

Sigh....i See. Thank you.
He should at least look acceptable ( as in "normal") in any angle tho. Bandai def made black lion/ voltron head too small then... no doubt its the older senpai designer at Bandai who worked on him. That guy loves tiny head on everything.
If ET got the crack at him theres good chance Voltron would come out perfect, visually anyway. Or even that new blood Bandai designer would do a lot better job then this.
Speaking of Evolution Toys, Voltron would have been really good candidate for their magnet toys. Removable lion legs via magnet anyone?
