I'm hoping Bandai adds anime correct optional parts which they should since they've done it before. But I also hope this means they have the rights for the new show which is pretty damn good.

I hope they make it at least SOC Daimos, Voltes-size and not danguard ace... The close up photo makes me wonder, anything shot like that can make a midget toy seem bigger.

It's gotta be at least godmar or god sigma size. Daimos size is way too small for voltron. Bandai is not going to skimp on this one after waiting all these years to release this.

its gonna have to be pretty damned impressive to be better than the kob. Actually not in my books, the KOB wasn't even anime accurate. Neither was any of toynami's offering. Since this is officially licensed, bandai can go all out in terms of accuracy. KOB was only good with articulation, which bandai with its experience should have no problem beating. I'm sure proportion wise it will be better too. We all know soc quality is second to none, so no competition there as well.

Maybe DX Soul of Chogokin like Mazinger? Nice & expensive No, it's not a DX - that uses a different logo than the SOC branded toys.

Let me tell you, the new Netflix Voltron in DX would be a kidney-seller.

how....HOW!!!! WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS!?!?!?! BLASPHEMY!!!!! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT BANDAI CAN'T DO VOLTRON/GOLION!!!!!... BUT ITS THERE!! RIGHT IN OUR FACES!!!! AGGHHHHHH THE HYPE METER HAS BROKEN!!!!
...my mind has been blown...
I mean, HOLY CRAP!!, Bandai is doing an official soc voltron/golion super happy about it, however some concern about it is the inability to hide the legs of the green and red lion(which means blue and yellow lion has the same issue). but i guess they wanted to go more with the classic diecast toy(?) with the chrome and whatnot, im crossing fingers it has some part swaping to make it look more like the anime. im a bit concern of the price, if its $300 then thats to much, voltron is not that hard to transform and combine so i don't really see the level of engineering like godmars godsigma or daimos even. Another concern is the size, if its under 10" and its for $300 with simple engineering then might as well wait for the ultimate ex one instead( assuming they reduce the price because of it.
but overall happy that voltron is getting a soc treatment, i wonder if there gonna add both voltron and golion in its name for the fans, that would be sweet.

come on guys, SOCs always had reasonable prices for example the recent Voltes V even with the huge demand was about $180 and it came with ton of accessories and the figure it self is loaded with diecast and awesome engineering i dont think Voltron well hit $300 unless WEP charged Bandai an insane amount of money for their license, but even with that i think they will get that back as soon as the PO open my guessing is between $200 - $250 now all we need is to make sure Bandai will reissue this at least 3 times so every one can get one

I'm sure proportion wise it will be better too. We all know soc quality is second to none, so no competition there as well. i know spot on anime accuracy is a big deal to some, but i just appreciate a really good toy, close enough is fine. in addition we see all too often that accuracy is subjective, and changes from scene to scene in some cases. and quality? well, lets just say i own quite a few socs and the vast majority of them have some quality flaws in some aspect or another. i dont put bandai on a pedestal as a perfect, magical company who does everything the best. because honestly nobody's perfect.... are they better than everyone else in general? ABSOLUTELY. but rarely perfect. kob, in my opinion is the best voltron toy ever made. yeah its stylish and not 100% "accurate" but what toy has been? the damn thing is flat out beautiful. huge, heavy, packed with die cast, great jstiff joints, tons of great accessories, perfect paint, and fantastic articulation. anyways bro... thats just my opinion. the bar is set, HIGH... your move bandai. we are all looking forward to your take, finally!

As Golion is 60 m. tall, I want him the same size as SOC Zambot 3.

Hope it's not a massive hulking thing with token die-cast...would love for this to be an intricately detailed 10" figure with 1980s level of metal content. So glad I haven't spent money or wasted shelf space on any of the current/passed Voltrons.

Anyone notice the leg detail on the red lion is different than on the green? I hope it comes with the mouth open face So Screaming face option. What else would you like sir? Perhaps covers for the lion legs for option to match the anime look. For some collector, that seems to be important. Would be cooler if they can engineer the lions to transform and hide the legs. Just speculating on what other accessories it will come with. Rocket punch gimmick? That's got to be imcluded. Perhaps even for the feet too. Either way I'm happy to see it finally happen. Face is probably a given like what they did with daitarn. I would love it to be engineered to hide the legs but if it was possible, I feel like it would make it a noodly mess of hinges and opportunities for things coming loose. So in this case covers would be fine by me... or make the legs removable. There is definitely something going on with the legs though since the panels between the two arm lions are different. I feel like it would have a fake rocket punch included..in other words not spring loaded.

I agree and am with you on this. I really hope it is God Marz/God Sigma size. Save the smaller sizes for SRC. I really hope this is 11-12" tall. I always felt that as much as I love the SOC Voltes V, it is too small. That being said, I hope we get a tiny set of mini pilots. Now I feel anything is possible now with SOC. Maybe SOC Albegas/Voltron II might one day come out!
