Now, I feel bad for bros who don't own one yet....
Come on Bandai! RE-Release the Voltron!!
Ooh speaking of The lions, how about F.A. lions for $75 a piece? Each will come with its respective pilots. Thing will sell like no tomorrow....
Not like what KOs are doing piece meal job, but like how individual lions are portrayed in the Anime..(they look completely different then formed Voltron.)

Seriously,I am not the only one who for one reason or another missed out on SoC Voltron.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING is a substitute. Bandai must have some weird conditions by WEP to not do another release.
Maybe within the decade or so we may get a reissue.

Rivaling only Harmony Gold.

WEP can be ba$t*rds when it comes to their IP. But once a company gets the license they stick with them for a long time (Toynami). So, unless BANDAI and Playmates have a problem, I do think well see more from BANDAI. At least I hope so - especially Vehicle Voltron!

Bandai Candy Division is making that Super Minipla Voltron so they have the license in some way.

I think is a matter of time. When I read the intereview last year to bandai representative he says that is a problem to made re releases because they have their factories always working in their latest products and given their QC they don't work with anyone (they say it's difficult to teach and keep their standards) so even if it is something with too much demand it may take a while to find a date in the schedule to produce it. May be it's not true but sounded logical...

Given this was released only about a year ago, It’s unlikely there will be a reissue soon. I don’t know of any SoC that get a reissue after a year is being released. If it’s within a year that’s more like a second production release and not a reissue. Reissue is likely to happen, just like the other popular combining SoCs. But maybe it’ll happen 2 years from now. And even if they do reissue it, I hope it won’t be a straight up reissue. A R version with even slightly different paint job would gave me another reason to buy it again.

Maybe they can bring about some weapons that were not in the original release like the Knuchaku and have the wings of the Black Lion be a Y-shape especially in combined mode. Kinda prefer the silvers and chrome as opposed to having white paint on Voltron.

thats so cool Holygrail very clean work man Dude!!! That looks awesome. How did you do that? if im not mistaken, i guess he is using an app called Prisma, its an amazing app that change logarithms in the photo to add cool effects EDIT
oh wow this is my #5000 post Thanks guys.
Oh, its not a app, I have been learning under a friend of mine who has been teaching me the inner workings of 3D-Max and photoshop. At least when he has time. I'm getting majorly addicted to it, but it takes so much time, I would love a app that can do some of this automatically at high resolutions, but there is none that I know of. This vid is a small example of the type of work. Ok this is the final image i'm submitting to the acrylic process. At this point i'm good with the results an I'm just glad it's done. When it's delivered I'll shoot you guys some pics.

Wanted to speculate as to why SOC Voltron seemingly got a limited release and why it may or may not get rerelease. Have no evidence to this just total speculation based on knowledge of what other toy companies have done.
From my understanding this Voltron was designed before toynami got its license for voltron for the second time. When they released the 30th anniversary voltron. Its possible Bandai priced it for $300 when it was originally designed. Then toynami got the license. As many have noted the quality of voltron is almost DX quality. The production costs most likely went up over the 2 years or more Bandai had to sit on it. Instead of redesigning a new less expensive voltron, Bandai decided to produce and release the Voltron at no profit or even a loss. This is not unheard of. Many companies will produce a fan requested item at a loss or at cost in limited quantities. Sort a love letter to a particular character. If Voltron does get a rerelease, and I hope it does for those who missed it, I highly doubt we will see it at the original $300 price tag.
I bring this up because it has been mentioned in the GX-60R God Sigma thread. I have read that the rerelease of the God Sigma will be in the $400 range. Voltron is a more detailed figure with more moving parts. If God Sigma rerelease is going to be $400, I can only imagine what a rerelease of Voltron will cost.

yes we are mostly in the shadows and we dont know what is going on for sure i want to comment about the increase of price in a reissue figure, if its a straight up reissue not an R version the price will be about the same we saw that many times in the SOC line for example GX-59 daltanious, not to mention other lines even the R version get about 5k to 10 yen price increase which is reasonable, example the GX-13R so $400 for the GX60R is pure nonsense, of course i respect the fact that every one have the right to say what he\she think, but this nonsense honestly, so the GX60R will be in the price range of a DX ? or Fewture Gokins ? sentinel ? lol please you know this kind of speculation is hurting us as collectors, because when any company read the numbers some people put, they see it as an opportunity to maximize their profit, why you think the price is the last thing they reveal ? because they are studying the market and watching how much you are welling to pay, that why i always say dont give high numbers

I don’t know why you think this Voltron was a limited release to start with. Huge misconceptions there. This wasn’t a limited production piece. This wasn’t a street fight on preorder or a day one sell out. This releases was not a like a p-Bandai exclusive where it was hard to order one. It was the total opposite as I saw pretty much every USA e-retailer carrying it and having it available. The was no shortages on preorder. In fact, the product was widely available for months after the release date. People had a couple of months to grab one after it was released. Because of this, Some collectors took the opportunity to buy a couple more because they knew how good this thing was and wanted to have more than one. Others took the opportunity to make money on the collectors that just procrastinated and was looking for a deal, wishing the price of this to fall. Bottom line, most everyone I know that wanted one has one. I don’t feel sorry for collectors that has been following this release from the start or knew about the release of this and missed out on getting one. Some complained about not being able to get it at the retail price due to import fees. So they missed out. Even if $300-$400 was too much, if you are seriously want one, you don’t commit to anything and you buy this. You buy at least one on credit, finance it however way you need to. Otherwise SoC Voltron isn’t a must have for your collection. For those that are this late to party, noob collectors or casual fans, you pay the price for not knowing. That’s how the world works. Early bird catches the worm was taught really early in life.
