I am noticing my collection is taking up a large portion in the space of my home now. I was wondering if any of you use public storage to store some of your collections?
I have heard that public storage is great, but I have also heard that it is dangerous in storing valuables. I would appreciate any experiences or advice shared on the topic. Thanks.

I've done that for a while, with part of what I have. Some roll around shelves were set up, with bins and boxes with the various toys. Some are mine, some are saved for selling at toy shows.
It works for me, since I'm not just paying for a storage unit for the toys, but sharing a ground level unit with a friend to store our motorcycles, my mountain bike and car rack, spare Jeep tires, etc. It's basically an added garage, for fairly cheap. The buildings have heat and A/C, since there is an upstairs walk/elevator level to the storage facility.
Reminds me, I've never taken any good pics of it, to share. It's not for display, but some bigger items like Jumbos, or Fort Max, are in the open, and some storage bins are clear, so you can see what's in them.

I try not to. Storage costs are exorbitant in my country.

I have a pack-rat 16 foot storage at my house. so i don't have to travel back and forth to a storage unit. don't know where you live but you can check on that or a pods or buy storage shed for the house

I'd honestly rather move to a bigger place than rent a separate storage space. What's the point in even having that many toys if so many of them are boxed away you have to rent a place just stack the boxes in?
