Just wanted to know if any other members here backed any games on Kickstarter? My mistake, backing Mighty No.9. To this date, still haven't receive my game box, instruction manual, the NES cartridge style USB with a copy of the game data stored inside the USB and most importantly, my game code for the game. Cause I selected xbox360. And that's being delayed. Last update said it was gonna be a short delay. Been weeks now, still no mighty no9 for 360. Got a Steam game code but no PC to play it on. So that's useless to me.
Anyway, I also backed a game called Battlechaser. Cause I like Joe MADs art. Hopefully, that one doesn't disappoint. Missed out on Bloodstained. I really want to play that one. It's a new Castlevania game, not by Konami, and it's 2D Sidescrolling, it looks fantastic.

I backed MN9 as well but i did the $20 tier to get just the digital copy of the game. After so many delays and stuff i just downloaded the game but never even bothered playing it. Aside from that i backed Shenmue 3 and im not holding my breath for it. It'll come out some day but im expecting heavy delays. Probably the last game ill ever back.

I backed the Double Fine adventure (still haven't got my $100 tier boxed copy), Wasteland 2 (got my $100 tier boxed tin copy, it's now propping up my router), MN9 ($20 digital only, played it for about an hour and deleted it. Game is not good.), Pillars of Eternity, haven't played that yet but it's been fulfilled, Star Citizen (god only KNOWS when that's actually "coming out" or if it will just be forever in alpha/beta/early access development?), and Shenmue 3. I'm over kickstarter now, really. Wasteland was great, and I liked Broken Age quite a lot but I find that I don't have the time to take advantage of any sort of "inside look" at development, and the waiting period between paying and getting something (IF you get something!) just kills my desire for these games a lot of the time.
Something would have to be really special at this point for me to get back into the Kickstarter Pool, truthfully. I just want to collect what's left and still owed to me and cash out.

So it seemed that the 360 version of the game was available back on 6/23. Didn't know when they added the 360 codes to the humblebundle. Communications from them through Kickstarter is awful. So finally, I downloaded the game. From the $60 tier, I am supposed to get a Game box and manual. So those are supposed to be handle through another vendor/website? From ta gamer.com? So I have a total of 7codes. 3 for Steam, a copy of the game, golden beck, and the Ray expansion. For the 360, I got 4 codes, copy of the game, the expansion, golden beck and Ray and Retro Hero expansion. Anyway, played the game for about half an hour and it isn't as bad as I though it will be. Visually, I am unimpressed. Game looked much nicer when they first showed it in their Kickstarter campaign video. Game play wise, controls okay. Haven't experience much glitches. Feels really much like a bootleg Megaman game. Seems about right for a $20 game. Although, had I played a demo of it, this is probably the type of game I would pick up when it goes on sale and not buy it new at $20.
I am done with Kickstarter. There is just no reason to backed these projects. Take for instance, Truforce with their Megaman X figure. It's sad that non backers were able to buy the figure and get it before backers did. There is just no incentive to be a backer.

i backed Mn9 and recived my Wii U digital as well the other stuff like the ray dlc, retro beck, gold beck and the digital artbook/strategy guide (still waiting for the digital soundtrack of the game), i don't regret it even with the issues that it has. played it and enjoy it. The only thing i wish for concept to do is release a patch to fix the issues the game has before even working on a new mn92 game.
The other project i backed was the MST3K which im so hype for it.

I backed pirate 3D for a printer and they lied long enough that never could get a return even through credit card. Ks will enforce nothing with their own rules and it is all a gamble.

Yeah it was bad. I went with them because it looked promising and they had a product already. In reality they had not developed anything besides the case yet, so the working prototype was someone else's internals. They spent most of the money on r&d and certification which was not part of the ks outline. In the end they determined they could not make them for less than several hundred and then they started making excuses. They were quite hostile towards backers and lied quite a bit. They even gained addition 6 figure loans and still failed as a product. Some people managed to get them but from what I have seen many either were damaged in shipping or didn't work well at all. In the end they said they got backing to continue as long as they don't use it to pay back old backers. I had talked to ks and they didn't do anything to enforce their own rules. All that could be done is a class action lawsuit but no one ever properly organized one. My theory is they will use their funds and r&d to start a new company and sell that printer. The p3d name is marred by failure. Hopefully this follows the actual creators though as it was not just poor planning but greed and deceit that killed the project.

Wow. What an awful mess. And a hell of a cautionary tale, too, that Kickstarter can be a real gamble . I'm sorry that you got burned like that.

I'm currently backing an indigogo campaign for the platformer/RPG Indivisible. It's from the folks who developed Skullgirls. I have a friend who works at Lab Zero Games, and felt mildly obligated so I initially put up $5. Later on I went ahead and put up $30 because the demo was pretty nice. Hoping the final game is as good, and they really seem to be forthcoming with info a few times a month. First time backing anything like this. It'll be a long wait to 2018!
