Hello all.
I'm new to the forum, so please check out my introduction in the "general toy discussion" section.
Recently I won a Voltron "Mega Super collection" on eBay. It consists of:
100% complete Golion New Masterpiece Voltron New King Lion from Korea 2 new Trendmasters New 22 inch Trendmasters New 1980 Lionbot Voltron III in box. Y&K Japan. Near mint, but missing 2 stripe stickers on red lion's hind-quarters New factory sealed Voltron in Windowbox
I have a local dealer coming to check the collection out this evening. He's bringing a mint Godaikin Godsigma for a possible trade, and he may be interested in purchasing some of them. I'm pretty familiar with Voltron pricing. But, it's been a while since I've seen a sealed Lionforce Voltron on eBay. Can someone please suggest a possible value for this? Sorry, I'm not sure how to upload a picture yet. The box is a little faded and has a tear in the box near the black lion. The plastic is loose at at this spot. But, the black lion cannot fit through the opening and all lions are mint.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't understand - did you buy this to get some and sell the rest, or did you buy the whole lot to re-sell them all?
Which Voltron is sealed? Your description is quite vague and things like size, manufacturer, box version etc. would help to offer a value.

I see the auction, the seller didn't take a pic of the contents so its hard to tell a value without your pictures, I guess if its super mint even with the issues your stating I'm gonna guess $225-250. By the way, how was the condition of the golion?

By the way, Id put the Korean one on auction if I were you. They are Super hot right now and you could recoup a good
amount of you purchase by selling it. I'm not a fan of it because of the way it looks formed as voltron.

Thanks for getting back to me rayar, and sorry for being so vague. The factory sealed Voltron is a Matchbox. It's in the box with "Voltron" printed in multicolor, as opposed to a yellow "Voltron III" on the box. The front of the box opens, revealing a picture of Voltron in front of the Castle of Lions" on the left, and the actual lions visible through clear plastic on the right.
Hopefully I'll figure out how to post the pictures in the "most recent toy purchase" section this weekend. From the eBay pictures, I couldn't really tell exactly what I was getting. But when they arrived it was like I'd won the Voltron lottery! The collector who sold them was very discriminating and everything was better than expected.
I love Voltron, and I'm not trying to sell them all. My son is enjoying the 22" Trendmasters with lights, missiles and bombs. And the Matty figures fit perfectly. It's really cool. I wanted to price a few, because I'd like to put 1 or 2 on consignment at a local vintage toy store. Shouldn't a vintage toy store have such an iconic toy? I'd just like to see one in a shop. There are no chogokin collectors where I live, so I'd like to share my love of this hobby.
The Golion has one of the nicest 30 year old boxes I've seen. It has a few creases, but it hasn't faded at all and is still quite glossy. The Lions don't appear to have been combined, as there aren't scuffs on the gold rings on the black lion's shoulders. Also, black lion's jaw/Voltron's face hinge is extremely tight compared to any other Golion/Voltron I've handled. Everything is there including instructions, brochure, clam shells with clear plastic, all weapons, missiles and windowbox. But it's not perfect. There is slight discoloration on the white on some of the lion's faces, most noticeable on red lion and black lion's jaw. I know some people use a whitening process to fix this, but I'm not going to mess with it. I'll post some detailed pics this weekend.
Thanks for the tip on the King Lion. It's just about perfect, but I'm not really into KOs. I think I probably will list that one.

To answer Mr Ginrai's question more completely, I bought these and planned to reserve a booth at the Steel City-Con in Pittsburgh, PA. But by the time the auction ended, the booths were sold out. I'll keep some of the robots. But I've already got some nice Voltron's in my collection. I don't collect Voltron exclusively. I'don't like to possibly trade some of the lot to further my collecion. I had a dealer over last night to possibly exchange one for a Godsigma. Some I'll sell. I think I will list the King Lion on eBay soon, but I'm not in a hurry to get rid of them.

Correction: I'd possibly like to trade a few to further my collecion. Sorry if my posts are fragmented. I'm 42 and I've never posted a message on any forum anywhere. Thanks.

The window box matchbox Voltron (without the III) is actually quite desirable right now. That box is less common, if it is sealed m, that style doesn't shown up often.
The 22" trendmasters is actually quite fragile and actually getting really expensive now as well. You may want to give your son another Voltron toy to play with instead.
Quality wise, is dump the regular diecast trendmasters set. It doesn't look great overall and after getting a mint one a few years ago, I am glad that I never bought one when they originally came out.
I have owned 2-3 of everything in that auction (still own some of them, plus Voltron I and II) except for the toynami, the Korean, and the 22" trendmaster one. I decided to get rid of all but one of my Voltron I's and now just trying to decide if I will keep one or two of my golions. All my other Voltron stuff is sold or being put up for sale in a week or two. Love the character but too much repetition.
If the lionbot is a true vintage release (these are still being produced today) keep or sell it, otherwise give that to your son to play with. The rest as you said, pick what you want and move the rest.
If you're looking for perfect, keep the golion as it has the missile firing ability and sharp teeth and the weapons. Otherwise keep one of the matchbox sets.

Thanks for the knowledge Mr. Ginrai. You truly speak from experience having owned multiple versions of most of these. I kind of thought that the sealed Matchbox Voltron was somewhat rare. I haven't seen a new one on eBay in quite some time. Decent Matchbox Voltrons seem to be dwindling, and in the past few weeks I've seen them go for $400 + shipping. Most of the ones listed have a KO lion, or a missing wing. I think you will do well with whatever you list. Yes. The 22" Trendmasters is made of brittle plastic. Some may think I'm crazy. Many people buy 2 toys, and keep one in the package, then take one out. With vintage robots, often I get one that is mint to display, and one that's flawed for my son to enjoy. He's got my childhood Matchbox Voltron, a Gardian with broken knees, a played with Dynaman w/ Dyjupiter + others. He loves them and takes care of them. As an incentive for strong schoolastics, I gave the giant Voltron to him. It had so many play features I couldn't resist. And I didn't want to display it with my other robots because I think its proportions are strange. Well, he dropped it on the carpet, and a wedge shaped piece broke off of the black lion's mouth. It was easily glued and it just looks like a scratch. He's learned not to drop it again, and now it fits in with the rest of his treasures.
