Hey there Microfans, I saw these pretty colour variation Acroyears on Yahoo Japan: Lovely, but a bit annoying as I’ve been trying (in vain) to collect all the colours. I had no idea these existed. Anyone got them or know anything about them, like when they were released and how rare they are? Clearly they are TRU exclusives. One of them looks pretty much identical to Iron Star (from the watch set), is he? Hippy

Hey Hippy, do you have any links to Yahoo Japan you could share with me? The only one I have was the one Tex posted that searches on Yahoo Japan.

I'm sorry, I don't! It's the same link (Tex's) that I used. These Acroyear were on it a couple of weeks back and I saved the pictures. I'm going to be looking into this, though so I'll keep you posted. I have to visit a Japanese friend. Hippy

I've spent some time following up Tex's links and I thought I'd share my experience with those who have less time on their hands. A big thanks to Tex for all the invaluable guidance. I went through to the DX collection site and followed a link called "Daryl's YJ Auction Tutorial". Some fascinating lessons in basic Japanese here, but I give up on learning it in time to bid for Cyborgs. Probably the most valuable thing there was this link: world.altavista.com/It takes you to something called a Babelfish translator (I like the reference to Douglas Adams). This is incredibly useful; it will translate the Japanese characters to English! There is an option to translate whole web pages but I couldn't get it to work on item pages, only on list pages. You can paste in blocks of text, though, and it translates them into very broken English. This way I was able to determine which fields are what, current price, increment, remaining time, etc. I printed a Japanese page and wrote translations of the categories above the Japanese, so now I have a handy guide and I don't have to run every page that interests me through the translator (if you know which field is which, you need only read the numbers). I ran some item descriptions through and the results take a little interpreting. Here is one for a loose green King Walder: It is ¥¥ó¥°¥ï¥ë¥À©` of the green. It is something which I purchase at the time of the elementary school student, as for state there is no defect item of the part, also in the wrist and also the ankle is a very small crack, but it is not something of the extent which becomes matter of concern, as for the body there is no changing color and being somber etc., you think that you can mention clean entirely, but to be old ones, because it is not the new item, please understand there. In addition as for special nervousness please be modest. Vastly entertaining if a little ambiguous, but vital concerns like the condition of the item are apparent. The bad news from Daryl is that you have to be a YJ member to view completed items. And you need to enter Japanese characters to do a search. Presumably you could use Babelfish to get Japanese characters as it will also translate English to Japanese, but judging by the above Japanese - English translation, it might be a bit hit or miss. Daryl gives Celga and Rinkya links as agents who will buy on your behalf. Here is another service he doesn't mention: www.m-world-service.com/I have been buying from this gentleman for some years now, but I haven't yet used his auction service. I can vouch for his honesty and reliability, though. He offers premium YJ membership, but it costs a small monthly fee. He will also do a regular service without membership. When I am ready (rich enough) to start bidding, I shall get by with Tex's Cyborg/Microman link, the Babelfish translator and M-world as my mediator. I can't wait! Androids, Invaders, PPFM, Satake are my priorities. Hope this helps all you Cybo-tenacious types. Hippy P.S. Mrs. Hypnotator has just ordered a digital camera, so you'll all be seeing my collection soon....
