That's definitely not the box of a Popy Golion or even a Matchbox Voltron. The robot is not the large one pictured on the box, and it's not a combiner. This discrepancy signifies that it's probably a KO.

Also, the box says "Made in Taiwan". I'd steer clear.

Post this in the vintage diecast forum down a few lines, will likely get more response & info.
That's the same toy as the Matchbox ST 6" sized diecast, just in a cool variant box. The Matchboxes of that size were made in Taiwan, farmed out from the old Popy mold, but with the neutered firing fists and feet, as can be seen on that toy in your pics.
Probably worth the same as the small Matchbox, same factory, same toy, it seems.

This is Diecast Metal's version of the St Golion or Voltron. Yes they are made in Taiwan, but so were most of the later 1986 and 1987 Matchbox Voltron 3s. And at the same factory Diecast Metal or Yuan Yi metal and plastics company now owns.

Correct, and really this ST bootleg is harder to find than their DX bootleg. I got mine from an Italian seller.

Oh and these bootlegs are made from Bandai original molds with the Bandai logos removed. So not to bad getting a bootleg/original with cheaper paint and a great price. Still a great quality Voltron or Golion.

The ebay seller for the one posted is asking $200 for it haha!
Easier to just get the exact same toy cheaper MIB in the Matchbox version box, when one comes up.
The one discussed here would only be for the hardcore box variant nerd. (Of which some of us are, LOL)
