Alrighty. Making a separate thread for GX-70 speculation so that the Voltron-threads don't get clogged up with it just coz SOC-Voltron is the GX-71. My guess will be that GX-70 will be a new Space Battleship Andromeda for the upcoming Yamato-2202 anime. Yeah. Another damn ship in the SOC line. That's just my wild guess. So, what do y'all think SOC GX-70 will be?

It is most likely would be a non-transformable robot. SOC Mazinkaiser SKL?

My bet will be another classic super robot & what comes in mind are (in random): - Goshogun. - Dairugger XV. - Albegas. - Mazinkaiser. - Tetsujin 28 FX. Anything can happen in Bandai let's see what they got.

GX-71 GoLion on December. I don't think they will release big SOC twice in the same trimester. Now SRC are bigger Genesic GGG ,Mazinkaiser, Shin getter robo and Giant robo. Those are nearly the same size as SOC Mazinger and Getter robo. I think they will not release non-transform/non-combine SOC anymore. GX-70 will be repaint old SOC with new GX code (and price ) like Bandai did to Daitan-3.

It's the 20th anniversary of Escaflowne and the blu-ray is coming out soon in the US so my wish would be a fully transformable Escaflowne. If Bandai made it, they can have all my love.

Guys, how about a getter emperor. SOC is a non scaled line any way.
I know it is unlikely, if not impossible, but just something nice to dream about.

It's a new number. My speculation is an update of an older offering with new features and parts. I would put Daimos at the top of the list for that.
The GX-71 before GX-70 may also simply reflect a marketing tie in opportunity. Either capitalizing on the Voltron surge from the new show. Or holding back the GX-70 to capitalize on something coming up. Maybe a Daizyujin/MMPR Megazord to capitalize on the new movie? Heck, maybe Transitron?

you know maybe they save the GX-70 spot for Voltron from the new show

That could happen, though unlikely. It's kind of what they did with Shin Jeeg, when everyone was expecting the classic Jeeg. But we never got that one, in the end (not in the SOC line).
It would be a thigh squeeze. We have yet to see anything of it and the GX-71 is coming out next december. I agree that it's probably something we've already seen before. A new version of an old SOC or a new one that was shown but has yet to be released (what? I don't know).

Hello kitty edition Voltron? That would be very interesting actually. Voltron is 5 cats combining afterall. Imagine they are 5 different colored Hello Kitties. My wife might actually want one if done right.
