Wow 120 CAD!
Are people buying them in store there at that price?

Prices are usually not THAT bad here, actually. I know our dollar is weak, but not nearly enough to justify a near 100% inflation vs the US price. If it's a mistake, they don't seem in a hurry to fix it : it's still listed at that price. Still in stock, too. Shocking, I know.

Sent them an e-mail. Got an answer.
TLDR : It's not a mistake. They're serious.
If you convert both to the same currency, Bumblebee is 40% more expensive at Toys R Us Canada. And they're justifying this with that little import-export 101 lesson.

Is there no demand for Hasbro MP Bumblebee? It's still available whereas previous Hasbro MP offerings were so hard to get whether in-store or online.

None whatsoever. It's just not worth $65 plus tax. KO version is only 30$ shipped. People have done this before, buy a KO and swap it with the official one and return it. I've seen worst things on some of the shelf at target. Funniest one was seeing a Megatron Masher placed inside a combiner wars leader class Megatron box being returned and placed back on the shelf. One of the reasons I stop buying the official Hasbro line stuff.

Don't think I even pay as much for the Takara version, still unopened in my garage.

So because the previous MP exclusives were selling like hotcakes, TRU got greedy and overpriced this and this is the result LOL! The older ones were selling like hotcakes because they were cheap. it all started with Hasbro MP Prowl. That was the first one that didn't get instantly sold out on the toys r us website and shelf warm for a bit. Because it was actually more expensive than the Takara import. The older exclusive were great deals. Significantly cheaper the the Taraka counterpart. Take for instance MP Optimus and Soundwave. Optimus was $100, $80 with the discount coupon. Soundwave was $120 and $100 with coupon discount. Compared with Takara, even when ordered from Japanese site, Soundwave was over $120 and that's before the two cassette packs. It's easily $200+ with the two MP cassette packs. Takara's MP-10, can't import it to the US for under $200. The pricing just doesn't make much sense, the first Hasbro MP Grimlock, retail was $70. I was able to buy that with a discount coupon at $60. The reissue under the new packaging was $90 if I remember correctly. That one sold out but not hard to find. Anyway, This Mp Bumblebee, at $65 cost more than the new Hasbro MP Starscream. Just can't justify this price. Let it go on discount. If it dropped under $40, I may buy one.
