I won't skip Voltron as I have been waiting for it for a long time but Daizyujin sure does measure up as one of the nicest SOC so far. Luckily I managed a pre-order when HLJ re-opened it this morning. Looking forward to it.

I think as far as a traditional knee bend, most of that will be done by the Triceratops and Sabertooth Tiger. I think many design cues from the SRC was taken to account for this specific Soul of Chogokin.

I am curious as to how the knees will work once combined. Sadly the design documentation on the tamashii website doesn't give enough details. I'm not expecting crazy articulation especially with those giant t-rex feet in the way, but it would be nice to know the range we can expect.

I think the connection from the butts of Triceratops and Saber Tiger will have a swivel to bend back once combined. Cause the way Tyrannosaurus is designed it does not leave room for said movement, so you work around that and go for the other option. That is my guess.

if the Triceratops and the Saber tooth Tiger combine with the Tyrannosaurus just like the yellow lion and the blue lion combined with the black lion then it will depend on the joints of the Tyrannosaurus legs, surprisingly there isn't any photo of Daizyujin bending its knees
but my guess it will have the traditional SOC knee bend

Yeah, I saw how heated things got for that thread. Being a 90s kid, I never knew what it was like to be a kid watching Voltron during those days but I can definitely understand how heated these things can get. I also go around Rangerboard so I have my fair share of some heated arguments as to what makes a "definitive" version of a giant robot in its toy form. So yeah, all I ask is that we keep that topic at home in a Voltron board. If people want to put their two cents in, there is the board right across the corner. So no worries.

ive sat and stared at this for the last few days. up close and personal. i gotta say its not really doing it me. megazord still looks like that big clunky 90s toy to me. i just noticed a few extra points if articulation but nothing really impressive. also the chrome on his chest and the mammoth tusks feels out of place and looks a bit ugly.
i allso dont care for the legs in combined mode. they look very flat with no details. just a slab of yellow on one, blue on the other. has a cheap aesthetic to me.
finally, the individual zords look really toy like. i know its the design of them and they're pretty accurate to the source but its just bad to me. this is definitely feeling like a pass right now and ill stick with the stc
on the positive side, the sword looks very cool and the head looks fantastic. its really big though, and looks heavy.

Sorry to hear that. At the very least,I am sure this gives you extra money to catch up on other figures. Mainly some that may have been put to the back burner I am guessing?

Sucks that you can't get into it Jaylive. I personally think it looks fantastic - the Megazord I've wanted ever since I got into collecting Chogokins. Incidentally, my first Chogokin was SRC Megazord and I loved it for its pick up and pose playability. Megazord, along with GaoGaiGar will be the centerpieces of my collection.

Pre-order discounts sure seem to be sparse this time around. I can't remember the last time it was so minimal.
