I don't live in the UK but I've bought stuff from Yahoo Auctions Jp via a proxy service.

Yeah, you just need a middle man service that can help you bid on Yahoo Japan auctions (for a fee in most case). You can't directly deal with any auctions unless you speaks Japanese and has a mailing address in Japan.

Shopping Mall Japan. A bit on the pricey side (all the small fees & double shipping adds up fast), and need some deposits to set up an account. But let you bid real time on your own using their system. Also, they can order web exclusives or shops in Japan. www.m-world-service.com/ Masato from M World Service is super awesome. Very honest, sincere, and reliable fellow that helped me a number of times ordering very difficult purchases and even track down a preorder for me from a shop that took my money and folded. The only thing about him is that you have to keep email communication with him at all times (so no real time bidding or sniping) and he only ships EMS.

Ah ok anyone got any suggestions for a middle man? I used Celga. But, mind you, this was a few years ago. Some of the peeps here recommend White Rabbit Express.

I use a proxy service titles "BUYEE" buyee.jp/They do offer "Sniper" bid as well (automated bid) They can ship your items anywhere via several shipping methods (EMS, SAL, AIR & SeaMail) They take 5% buyer’s premium (Buyee Service Fee) as well as, 200 Yen (Payment Fee) on each "winning" auction You can keep your items on their warehouse (80 days Max.) and then consolidate it later for shipping (combine shipping) They do offer 4 plans for your winning items: 1) Standard Plan (Insured Delivery + Inspection) = 500 Yen 2) Insured Delivery Plan = 500 Yen 3) Inspection Plan = 300 Yen 4) Lite Plan = 0 Yen (means there is no Insured Delivery or Item Inspection service included) You can purchase items through them from other Japanese online shops (Amazon Japan, Japan Online Stores ...etc)
