On the various pages, by year, there are complete translations of all the “Microman Story” texts from the original catarogs (sic). It’s an essential site for all Microman and Henshin Cyborg fans.
Whether they are organic or cybernetic is not really made clear. I think that the ambiguity on this point is part of their appeal. They come from Micro-Earth before it is destroyed (a bit like Kal El) in little capsules that get crystallised. They mutate depending on where the capsules end up. Micromen that land in polluted places turn into evil Acroyear, ones that get pulled in by Saturn’s gravity become Titans, etc. They are “actual size”, and therefore able to masquerade as toys, so a child can imagine that his Micromen are really alive.
Apparently, there was a comic strip that started a few years after the toys first came out, which expands on the catarog stories.
