I just got a bulletin from my man in Japan; it appears they are doing a repro Skeleton (Dokoro) King figure. Can anyone confirm this? At last, a Henshin Collection figure I want to buy! I want him twice to display with and without the costume. I wonder what colour the transparent KW head will be. Hypno

Yes, he is coming out later this year.
There also a special mail-away black version.

I am so there! mmm, did that sound weird?
Regardless, I want to hear more about the (shudder) mail away version. Where'd you hear`that? I'm holding off on buying an original so I can just have the rockin re-issue. I'm looking forward to the Devilman re-issue too.

Welcome to the board, Paul! At the risk of sounding sycophantic, and despite my distaste for popular music, I have to say that your website ROCKS. It has been a major source of enjoyment and vital information to me for quite some time. If you ever want to do an in-depth section on UK Cyborg, I’d love to help with pictures and info. Great news to have the Dokoro King reissue confirmed-and a mail way I didn’t know about. Armed with this knowledge, I might stand some chance of getting one. I presume it is a smoked black KW figure; is the Dokoro costume any different? I want one, anyway! Hypno

Anyone know where the black mailaway version is from, and when its coming out and details?
Also, the Takara Hobby site has links to wonderful pics of the cyborider series. Are there plans to re-issue this also?

Yes, I would like to know more about the black mail away, as my contact has not heard about him. Any more clues, Paul? I just got another bulletin about King Walders in red and green, and something called Cyborg 1-Go in gold and silver. I hope these are reissues of the vintage ones, but they are priced at 3,500 yen each, so possibly not? They've already done the silver one enough times! I just looked at a Henshin Collection Mazinga on Ebay; is it a trick of the light or is this a smoked Cyborg figure? Hypno

Warp Magazine Bounty Hunter Dokuro King (clear black and glow in the dark guts) Ehobby Dokuro King (vintage repro) Waruder Red Waruder Green Carded Cyborg Silver Carded Cyborg Gold Satan King and Plant Monster are supposed to be announced soon.
Here is the list of upcoming Cyborgs reissue complile by my friend Adam (AcroSatan). (I really do need to update that section of my website don't I)
I was kind of disappoint at the quality of the Cyborg-1 repro (cheap pastic...very loose limbs)... so I haven't really got all that excited about these guys...may be I will pick up a few to see.
Unfortunately, you will probably have to get the B&W Dokuro King via after market, I think the mail-away offer was like couple of months ago.

Thanks for your kind words about my site Hypno!
Anyway, yes the Mazinger Z one is smoke clear. (It's standing next to me right now so I am pretty sure it's not trick of light).
Now my question is what color was the Mirrorman and Casshan? ( I assume gold and silver?)
The 3500 Yen Cyborg is the reissue being sold on card without the repro costume.

Hello all! I’m back from holiday; it was lovely.
You’re quite right, Paul, my contact says he can’t get the Warp Magazine exclusive black Dokoro King. Confound it! Can anyone out there help?
I’m looking forward to these despite the reports of the Henshin Collection series being poor quality. Is Acrosatan the best source of information on upcoming Henshin Cyborg releases? Can you convince him to join this forum?
Takara website had pictures of the Henshin Collection series a couple of days ago, but they seem to have disappeared now. The Mazinger Cyborg appears to be two-tone; smoked black limbs and clear body and head. They also had some weird colour variations on Mazinger; I don’t know if these were prototypes but one had gold chest machinery showing below the costume. I must say that I think the Mazinger is the silliest looking Collection figure yet, with the rubber incontinence pants!
I have tried in vain to determine which of the series have what colour machinery in the Cyborg figure. I have had to assume that Mirrorman and Casshan have silver machinery too. I have a silver vintage HC so I’m after any other colours. Someone I know has Casshan but he won’t take him out of the box!
I have an option to pre-order the upcoming figures, but my contact charges commission and I would have to pay for them all up front in one go, which I simply can’t afford at the moment. I was hoping to pick them up later on Ebay; my only worry is that they will be like the Shonen Cyborg Reissue and King Walder Junior figures and almost never appear there (fortunately I preordered what I have of these). The Henshin Collection figures released so far abound on Ebay. So Paul, do you or Acrosatan know what the availability is going to be like?
Sorry to bombard you with questions, Paul, but I’m a Cybo-one-track-mind.

Hi all- First time poster here, thought I'd contribute some info since I've gotten some great news from this forum. I was having a hard time tracking down the Dokuro King re-issue, seemed like no one was bothering to offer it since it was supposedly an e-Hobby exclusive. I found it buried in HLJ's ordering system for 6800 yen: www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAK58006Unfortunately it's listed as "Backordered" now, but I bet if enough people order it they may try to get some more cases of it. Who knows... -Sean

thanks for your post, Sean. Does this mean he is already released? I thought he was still in the pipeline. Hypno
