Figured since I said I was going to do so, I'm making a thread about me trying to restore this old Daimos box. It's my first time (in a while) trying to upload pics so be patient with me! I'm going to spend some time this Monday trying to iron out some of the big kinks, as well as grab some bookmakers archival tape to reinforce the inside of the box. Will keep this updated!

Here's a couple shots of the worst tearing/ripping, most of which I was able to correct. Using a hairdryer and a pair of tweezers, I heated up the adhesive in the tape to allow it to peel off. Still need to remove the residue though. After that will be corrective paint application.

Still need to take a TON more pics but here's a teaser of some corrected areas.

My pic is backwards, the left side is the current condition of the box. Right side is the before. I'm going to be doing more painting tomorrow (need to pick up more paint tonight) and I'm currently re-gluing the whole thing into a box shape again.

One more pic for now. I think I'm going to do the rest of the painting tomorrow evening, and finish the rebuilding of the other corners too. Making some serious headway.

Thank you! I've been a little caught up with work and everything but I'm still trucking away on it.
