for me any thing over $300 should be a diecast Combiner a DX SOC or Fewture EX Gokin other than that its simply overpriced, not matter how awesome the figure is
the price for the SOC is reasonable and the figure looks good and accurate, if any one think other wise, just look at the speed of how its sold out
the Max Factory was and still a good gokin even by today standers, and its says at the box Mazinkaiser not Mazinkaiser SRW version so i guess its legit to put it in the comparison
anyways as always, at the end get what you want

Congrats to those we were able to pre order this bad boy on the jap sites! Anime export still has him - but you need to pay upfront. I missed out but that's OK - I have to pass due to budget not hitting in. Megazord ate up the budget and trying to save up on a Jordan 1 Bred  |

I do too prefer a design that's true to the original anime and I love SOCs especially the latest DC Mazinger Z, but this one's an easy pass for me. Even though I own practically every Mazinkaiser figure that ever came out, I'd rather buy one more Sentinel than this Sh*tty looking Mazinkizer. So Kaus, what exactly makes this a Sh*tty looking Mazinkaiser? I know some think he has thick wrists and no neck. I do not see thick wrists at all and he definitely has neck but every picture I have seen of him has him looking down and not out straight or up so yes that hides the neck. Here is a pic that plainly shows he does have a neck. I guess since you agree this is the most true representation of Mazinkaiser that all other versions are Sh*tty too?  |

Hey guys, can we dial back on the "my toy is better than your toy" back and forth that has been apparent lately. This is a hobby and should be enjoyable for everyone. Please don't let this board disintegrate to the level of SH Monsterarts fans. Those guys just buy figures to complain about them and fight with each other. ---rant over

Its dorky looking cone head face, thin arms, mediocrely designed body, ugly ugly joints, feet that look like Chinese foot binding, ridiculous pegs on the wings. I have already pointed out with photos in one of my previous post. If you choose to ignore it that's fine. I have no problem with you blindly believing that this Mazinkizer is so perfect. But it is not, for me and many others. To each his own I guess but I do not share those same complaints. I think he is the most accurate representation yet. Not perfect but almost. |

I understand and respect that every person has different preference, taste, and opinion towards everything, including to action figures and fictious characters. But that don't justify anyone to say s**tty things about a figure they're not happy with, in a dedicated thread to that figure.
A little bit of constructive criticism is accepted to certain extent. But being too fussy and nitpicking could be really annoying to other people.
It is as simple as if you don't like it, don't buy it, don't bother talking too much about it, and move on until you find what you like. Whatever we complain here won't change anything. Bandai will still sell A LOT of this figure, regardless.
If I really-really enjoy nitpicking, I could do it in few other threads here in RobotJapan. But man...that's a waste of time for me. I still have to take care my business, family, and other priorities.

Yeah, different tastes should be respected. And I even agree with Kaus on things he pointed out. But dial back on the "s**tty" name calling on things would be appreciated. Just having a more friendly environment to discuss toy is preferable, be it agreeing or disagreeing on certain things.

It's not just about the price but Sentinel's version is an ultra stylized version of Mazinkaiser that looks nothing like the character except for in shape. I'm sorry but Sentinel's version is not "ultra stylized". It has a ton of surface detail but it is still immediately recognizable as Mazinkaiser. You try to make it sound like Sentinel made a Mazinkaiser that looks like a Bayformer. |

just to add for me the best version of mazinkaiser is from aoshima and mazinkaiser perfect version yujin and so i am skipping this mazinkaiser for other toy but still is not right to rudely insult if u dont like it as other might find it nicer.

Have fun with your Sentinel version, if you have one, but this thread is about GX-75 so let's leave it now. |

 I spent a little bit of time to photo shop its head to my likings. I usually keep my mouth shut in a toy thread that I don't like, but I had such high hopes for this SOC release. I agree, I like that head better. The eyebrows are just to long and the head just looks better overall with the smaller crown |

Yeah, I almost placed an order for one on HLJ. Almost, because thanks to my impatience and infinite capacity for distraction, I forgot to actually check out and came back to find I couldn't finish the checkout process anymore and the orders closed |
