Honestly the SOC looks like a mecha at the beginning of an Anime and the Sentinel looks like the end of the series or OVA after years of battle and upgrades. I could literally pull the Riobot out of the shelf and kiss it seeing those pics.

Just seeing some pics of the Riobot Mazinkaiser - wow! that thing is a beast! w/ that stand, effect parts of rocket punch, it looks amazing! The SoC looks also great - true to the anime, would be really good if the articulation was also like the riobot one. Anyway, this is coming from someone who don't have both gokins, just my 2 cents  |

I just got mine today. I thought at first that one of my metal build orders was the one being delivered, but it was Mazinkaiser all along. The box size was quite similar to a metal build.

Finally sent the private warehouse return request to HLJ and waiting for their reply. The SOC version is good, I just like the sentinel one better, need to save money for the chrome version. I do not like the dull whole red color on the soc mazinkaiser's wings. I find the details and panel lines on sentinel mazinkaiser are sooo sexy!

In my book, SOC won all three vs. battles! Does anybody else see the Gaiking face (or rather, a random face with horn) just above Sentinel's underwears? Also, the sentinel's mid section is sooo long compared to the other three, it's like he rolled up his top and yanked down his underwear. Didn't realize the Max Factory's face is so squished! Aoshima has gummy hands. |

IMO the Sentinel is the worst looking, when compared to the other. On it's own he looks great (I don't own this one) but the others look better.

I think the Sentinel murders the other variants in terms of design... to the point where I like it MORE after seeing these comparisons, but it doesn't matter, because people who like the SOC should/will buy the SOC and love it.
I swear, there's been more comparison posts from people that don't own any of them than feedback about the item from people who do in this thread. It's odd.

No one has to choose which is better. Few would disagree that Bandai did a fantastic job on this. I'm looking forward to having both. My Sentinel will still have it's own shelf though. I just can't put anything next to it.

AND i wish Bandai CALM it down with the eyebrows... What is UP with That? They had perfect face then drew that up....oh and yeah it def needs clickys...Bandai and its infamous "brainfart."on THAT one... Still, much better then SRC and one of the best rendition of the character. |
