If you want spring-loaded Mazinkaiser, Aoshima is the one to get.
Yes, I have the Max Factory one, but mine is riddled with QC issues. There was that "two left forearms" issue I mentioned ages ago, but one I never mentioned is that both of the spring-loaded arms are way too tight - the other one barely fires, and the other one I can't even fit in to fire it in the first place.
Compared to that, even the "great idea, not executed all that well" Turbo Smasher Punch on the Aoshima seems like a massive improvement. I mean, the forearms actually spin!

No. I'm pretty sure Bandai is all done with spring loaded gimmicks. Which personally I find kind of disappointing. Honestly, having owned the Aoshima and Max Factory, the actual spring gimmick isn't impressive. It feels very "toy" ish and on high-end stuff it just comes off dumb. You don't want that crap. I just meant if the Forearms literally come off at all (like the Sentinel) because at that point I think they're considered more accessories than body parts and the plastic makes them a bit more "drop proof" in terms of finish and stuff. |

Yeah, wow...didn't know Aoshima had fun gimmicks like that.
Very fun.
Considering, I might consider getting Aoshima Kaiser (chrome Devil wing version looks great to me), but that loose hips....

Yes, the forearms do come off. I guess I was only comparing it to the GX 70 & 73, which both have diecast forearms.

I just dread the day they do what they did with the SRC, release a SoC Shin Getter and then an effect part set as a web exclusive.

I personally think this the best looking Mazinkaiser to date, not 100% anime accurate with enough real world comprise to make it not look to cartoony.

I like it a lot but not a big fan of Mazinkaiser. I cancelled the Riobot pre-order I had at BBTS. I just can't come to a decision on whether I like it enough to get either version! LOL

guess who arrived  https://www.instagram.com/p/_0vZK0IETJ tho i have couple of things that i didn't like (first thoughts) first out of the box the right horn was unplugged not broken just unplugged lol there is couple of annoying thing Bandai did in this figure, (in matter of fact they took alot of short cuts) in order to change the face plate you must take his head off  and the joints are as annoying as the SRC (its just a bigger SRC with more details really), i really wish they gave him better articulation than this on his shoulder where you pull the Kaiser blades from, you need to take that part off in order to put those tiny handles which make them barely extended, not as smart as Max Factory version the lower section (underwear lol) is not solid it keep moving when you move the legs on the positives the paint is good even tho mine have alot of chips here and there i think im the first one who noticed that the black is actually a very dark blue (its what i call a majestic blue) its a really nice color and they painted it well on the looks the figure is the best looking Mazinkaiser so far it feels heavy in the hand and thats for my first thoughts, hopefully i will go deep tomorrow when i start taking photos for it |

Ooh, i like your review S!  Hard hitting and you dont pull punches no matter how much you love Badai. Thats what im talking about. Congrats on those who got him. He DOES look good! No doubt about THAT. Yes on Grendy too, but how Bandais been behaving lately, i wont be surprised if 76 is yet another attempt at Jeeg... |
